Yesterday I made a white milk loaf, a loaf of brioche (which I then proceeded to eat half of, spread with Nutella) and some naan breads with onion seeds to go with the curry I made for dinner.

Today at work I'll be making Guinness cake and something green and tacky, because it is St Patrick's Day after all :D

I like the one in the River Cottage Bread Handbook, it always turns out well. You really need to be quite organised and start it off the night before so it can rise overnight.

I made Nigella's guinness cake at work, it was gorgeous, a really nice recipe and I'll definitely make it again.

Rock cakes, takes me back to my childhood, my grandad always had rock cakes in the cake tin.

Can you post the recipe please.

I have had a leftovers dinner tonight, had some cooked pancakes from when my grandchildren visited at the weekend. Stewed apples, added demerara sugar and some christmas spice mix. Filled pancakes and heated through in oven. Too full from main course at mo, so will eat later with left over single cream. Dessert in the week what's going on.

Made a cheese & onion bread (packet mix) in BM on Tuesday night, was disgusting. Made remainder into breadcrumbs, mixed with grated cheese and topped a veg bake (7 mixed left over vegs) in a cheesy sauce.

Just baking my first ever rolls. Made dough in BM and then shaped, proved and put in oven. Hopefully, a success.
MSE Addiction, should come with a health warning:money:

I've found lovely ones in Morrisons and Sainsburys. Morrisons recently had animal print ones! And I got some lovely gingham-patterned ones in Sainsburys (I think). It's becoming increasingly common to see brown cases in the supermarkets now, which is lovely if you're making chocolate or other dark coloured cakes.
