    Treacle toffee for my mum's Christmas present. Think I've got it right this time - last lot was just a tiny bit too soft.
    If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

    No baking for me today but have made 20 portions of chilli for the freezer. Not bad from 3lb of mince (plus lots of pulses!). Need to do a batch of curry this week sometime too then we will be well topped up with ready meals.
    Tomorrow it is mince pie and sausage roll day!

    I made a mincemeat braid (like the apple braid which someone posted on one of the threads here but using half a jar of mincemeat instead) with nutmeg flavoured glace icing on it. It was yummy!

    all ive managed today are a batch of sausage rolls as it was my daughters birthday so we have been busy

    1 half & half loaf, & a batch of seeded rolls to go with tomorrows soup lunch. Oh & a roast dinner 'cos DD1 is home for the 1st time in weeks:)
