Oooh they sound seriously yummy please could you post the recipe?
No baking for me today but have made 20 portions of chilli for the freezer. Not bad from 3lb of mince (plus lots of pulses!). Need to do a batch of curry this week sometime too then we will be well topped up with ready meals.
Tomorrow it is mince pie and sausage roll day!
285g Plain flour
30g cocoa
1 tbsp baking powder
170g light muscovado sugar (I used soft brown sugar)
100g milk
190g double cream - (I used a pot of muller light yoghurt and made the weight up with milk)
2 eggs
100g melted butter
100g dark chocolate chips
The milk and cream/yoghurt are weighed out rather than measured by volume.
Oven 180 degrees/gas mark 4
Sift all dry ingredients and stir in chocolate chips
Mix milk, cream or yoghurt and eggs. Melt the butter.
Add all wet ingredients to dry ingredients and fold together.
Bake for 20 - 25 mins.
Makes about 12.
The original recipe is from a book called Mad About Muffins but I adapted it to use whatever I have available.0 -
