I am really trying to get more competent in the baking department as DS loves his snacks and shop bought sausage rolls/cakes last him about two minutes as they are all puff and no substance.
Today I have made
Victoria Sponge - more like Victoria Falls Sponge as gone !!!! eyed since putting the buttercream and jam on - lol
Think will do same mix next time but make fairy cakes or tray bake
Chocolate butterfly cakes
Choc chip cookies - tad dark around the edges but taste okay

Finally found a 1lb loaf tin! I've been trying to make Delia's Sticky Tea Bread from her Frugal Food cookbook but only had a 2lb tin and it was like Discworld dwarf bread (note to self: do NOT bake 1lb mix in a 2lb tin for the time stated in the recipe)
Baked a 1lb one this afternoon - nom nom nom! That will do nicely for DH's lunch boxes over the coming week!Obedient women are never remembered in History!
