After looking at the huge danish pastries in supermarket I tried an experiment. I unrolled a sheet of puff pastry, cut it in two and spread half with nutella, rolled like a swiss roll and sliced before baking. I filled the other half with chopped apple, cinnamon and sugar. Hey presto mini danish pastries. Now where's that diet sheet? !!0

Hello all!
So far today:
Coconut butter biscuits
Lemon teddy bear biscuits (should have been crescent, but I couldn't find the cutter :rotfl:)
Buttercrunch oat biscuits
Cornish ginger fairings
1 x rye bread
2 x wholemeal seeded bread
1 x Molly cake
And I don't think I'm finished - I went shopping with the express intention of baking until I can't stand it any more
Can you tell I'm stressed? :rotfl:

I've made smiley face cake pops, white chocolate and matcha pound cake and Nigella's Guinness and chocolate cake (but her frosting recipe is too runny)0

Hope it worked Tracy.
Today OH and his boys have the cheese & apple dog biscuits in the oven, and are now making homemade hobnobs. It may well be the same as Twinks' recipe, we've been using this one for several years. Haven't had them for a little while as they do gt eaten fast:)0 -
I didn't get round to making the muffins yesterday so I made 2 dozen today. I am also planning on making a focaccia bread to take to a work thing along with the coleslaw and lemon and chive dressed potato salad0

I have a steak and ale pie ready to go into the oven. I used lardy pastry, yummy but not exactly healthy... and I filled my profiteroles with chantilly cream and am going to make a chocolate sauce to pour over them, but I'll do that when we're ready for pudding as it only takes a couple of minutes.0

Hope you all don't mind me sticking my head round the corner - not noticed this before so was so pleased that I can at least join in and let you know that today I made Peanut butter Cookies and Chocolate Brownies for this weeks lunchboxes - love this Thread and will be following it with close interest.;)
Can't remember who asked about reusing Greaseproof paper but please don't be ashamed about re-using, I do too if it looks "fairly clean", especially if I'm going to be re-using to make a similar thing like cookies or something chocolatey - I'm fanatical about recycling and hate to throw anthying out if I can think of another use for it before it finally has to go to the Bin.:o"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Has anyone else made chutney with honey? I'm trying to stay low GI so don't use sugar at all, but had a pile of green tomatoes to use up. I substituted honey for sugar, so I hope it will keep the same. Didn't have any sultanas either, so used dates and currants, and had to winkle a couple of dried chillis out of the pickling spices packet to add, as I had no fresh ones. (Tastes pretty good!)If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0
