A new recipe for tea: Roasted Veg Tagine, and as the oven was on, a batch of Weetabix Brownies which all involved copious amounts of perspiration as it's been seriously hot here today, but was worth it for a Weetabix Brownie
and the Roasted Veg Tagine was very nice too

I've got in the habit again of baking on a Sunday for the my daughters packed lunches and after school snacks. It saves money and I know what they're eating.
I've done savoury flapjacks, raison flapjacks and carrot and sultana muffins. Also cooked coriander, ginger, lemon and garlic chicken cous cous with veg.0 -

Not today, but Saturday afternoon (I must be mad). One batch Millie's style cookies and one of triple chocolate brownies, both the first try at the recipe and came out alright so I was pleased with that.0

The one in the recipe book that came with the breadmaker, and I wasted a can of Guinness too! I have some very drunk birds in my garden today:D0 -
Two Portions of Shepherdess Pie, HM Onion Quiche, HM Cheese & Lentil Loaf and a Ginger Cake - at the end of which I was sooooo hot, I thought I'd explode
Only attempted to do all that because the weather men promised a cooler day with possible rain the incompetents!! :mad:Aug11 £193.29/£240

I made this to take to a friend who's just had a big operation:

I can't do pastry despite years of trying but this turned out really well - I put in 3 eggs not two, and used a bigger plate because I had one, and I used bacon not pancetta. We had it cold with salad and it was really good - lovely in this hot weather and even my OH who doesn't like eggs or pastry thought it was really nice, (tho it does use a lot of bacon)0 -
Today I made rubber chicken and veg pies - well more like small pasties - the pastry turned out perfect (for a change)
Also made an orange sponge tray bake and have just slathered on some chocolate orange icing with enough sprinkles to sink a battle ship...
