Thoughts on written or typed cover letter for CV would be appreciated :)

However I was supposed to be going the pub to watch it , but already im having thoughts of staying in with bf to watch it so I avoid the alcohol ...the only thing is he is a city fan so eithe rway when the game has finished one of us wont be too happy lol ,,So the pub with my my mates may win my opion on where to watch it !!

  • Morning all

Feeling really good and positive today. Have had no alcahol since my binge on Saturday. Have to confess I nearly caved in yesterday, had a really bad day at work, problem is it is so quiet at the moment I get bored and agitated. Felt very narky last night and I know if my hubby had opened a bottle I would not have been able to say no, fortunately he too is trying to cut back so we had another AF night. So glad I did because I had a good nights sleep, and have been to the gym this morning and felt motivated enough to do some housework!!!

Hope everybody else has a good day!

    X Shelly

Well done WBF and New me for a great effort and a great start.

Hello Keys - everyone here is lovely even if there's sometimes a bit of straight talking to be had!

Jo, why don't you re-jigg your cv to put you relevant experience first of all, or put an opening paragraph/personal statement outlining your skills, competancies and motivations for appliying for the job? this would focus then on what you can and have done rather than what you just happen to be doing now. I think it's a slightly more american style but you might find examples on the web.
I would also go for typed cover letter - it's really more professional and if they want a sample of your handwriting for graphology tell them they're a bunch of fools because it just don't work.

I was out last night and had a couple of small glasses of wine with dinner - I was driving and still feel great this morning for some reason. I have been doing twenty minutes a day on the cross trainer though so I think that might help.
    Trying to keep in budget.
