What you do is play snap with the G24 letter-chain:

It's quite fun now you know it's all a scam and that debt collector letters mean NOWT. That thread shows pics of all the letters including the final one so you'll know when they have given up!

    Hello everyone,
I would like to get some comments/advice on the following scenario:
My friend has been parking at xxxxxxxxxx park during the day as it is close to where they work.

The times parked there range from about 9am to 5pm every day. They started parking there on xx March because they have only just started working there, and have been parking there everyday (mon-fri) for the last 2 and a half weeks. Obviously thinking they were getting away with it because they had not received any tickets or warnings.

However, this week they received several parking tickets from G24 for the dates: xx xx xx xx xx March asking for £70 fines for each day (BTW this is more than the money they make at work each day!) and obviously they are very concerned that the rest of the tickets ... are on the way too. This would be a grand total of £hundreds!

Even if it is paid in less than 14 days for the reduced amount of £50 per day. G24 have photo's of their car going in, and then leaving.

Now I would like to know what to tell my friend because they are obviously very concerned! I have read a lot of this thread, but as this is a rather horrific and potentially very expencive case I thought I needed some more advice; any would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

You've omitted to mention that :

    > G24 don't currently offer correct discount as per BPA rules
    > That they broke their Nominet contract
    > That MSE don't want you to know this as SodG24 is banned from posting and MSE won't respond to polite emails

Be careful publishing that info - MSE won't like it !!!!!

Tell him to park elsewhere in future because to take the mickey like that while at work is exactly how to create a problem and exactly why a retail park may contract with this scum. It's creating the problem that gets this protection racket in place - he should not park there.

I am pretty sure that I know the location and there are numerous signs there. Regardless of the validity of the tickets, as Coupon Mad says they should not park there is they are not shopping there.

    Hello everyone,
I would like to get some comments/advice on the following scenario:
My friend has been parking at the Ladymead Retail park during the day as it is close to where they work. The times parked there range from about 9am to 5pm every day. They started parking there on the 6th March because they have only just started working there, and have been parking there everyday (mon-fri) for the last 2 and a half weeks. Obviously thinking they were getting away with it because they had not received any tickets or warnings. However, yesterday (March 21st) 16 days after they started parking there, they received three parking tickets from G24 for the dates: 6th, 7th & 8th March asking for £70 fines for each day (BTW this is more than the money they make at work each day!) and obviously they are very concerned that the rest of the tickets for 11th – 15th, and the 18th – 21st March are on the way too. This would be a grand total of £600! Thank you

Just don't pay. They'll harass you with scarry looking letters for 4-6 months and then they give up. I parked in homebase and over stayed. Followed all the excellent advice here.
    Nice to save.

Thanks for this, really will help them feel better about it, and yer I'll make usre they don't pay the fines. Any chance you could remove the information 'Coupon-Mad' suggested to leave out, just in case I get my friend into trouble?
    Thanks again

    They are not FINES!
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Recent contractual charge notice - i was not driving but as the keeper now liable after new Protection of Freedoms act schedule 4 law in Oct 2012 - this changes everything as whilst Martin was sleeping / spending his sale money the law came in and gave these guys the means to chase down the registered keeper... so now we have proven dodgy G24 now all "legalled up" and much more able to enforce??? its great to say ignore and don't pay up - but the situation is different now??
