if thats the case, then im safer than before to ignore them? is that correct train of thought?

also im not happy to pay as their "evidence" they sent me isnt a photo of my registration plate! The car in the photo maybe mine (theres only 800 of that model with that trim), but its a black and white photo, therefore the car is dark grey. I have just looked out the window and my car is still maroon.

Note my username !!!! My pet hate is G24. I've ignored two invoices from them and they went away both times.

Let me ask you a question - do you think an ethical company would break a contract it had with a supplier ? Or indeed evade paying VAT ?

G24 have on both counts. They broke a contract they had with Nominet ( the people that manage internet domain names ) by giving a PO Box number for their address against Nominet contracts. Even when this was pointed out they changed to address to a false one !

Look at the invoice they've sent you - does it show the VAT @ 20% ? No it doesn't when it should as they don't own the land so they are providing a VATable service. I have reported them to HMRC for this.

So in short, a company as unethical ( and law breaking ) as G24 can be safely ignored as they won't issue court proceedings because they'd get ripped to shreds by the judge.

  • Thanks Guys!

    Its getting ignored now!
  • I received a charge from G24 back in March 2012. After reading a few on line posts I decided to ignore the letter. I have since received 4 other letters saying the charge had gone up and if I didn't pay they would pass details to their debt collectors which would incur an addition charge. A month later I received a letter from the debt collectors asking for the full amount. I have ignored them all. The last letter I have received a few weeks ago has even reduced the amount owed to £35.00 if paid within 7 days! I am now feeling quite confident as they seem a bit desperate to have to reduce the amount, so am sticking to my guns and not entering into any correspondance with them.

    It usually is.

However, we've started to hear of some new debt collector names chasing some very old unpaid tickets. I suspect that the private ticketing companies involved have decided to take what they can get and sold on these old "debts".

Put your shoulder to the wheel, your nose to the grindstone, gird up your loins, and ignore them with all your might!
