6th and (hopefully) final threat-o-gram received from CCS Collect / G24. FINAL DEMAND - "No further warnings will be sent". I live in hope...

So to conclude:

Day 1 - Allegedly used a car park on private land
Day 8 - Recieved a 'parking chage notice' in the post
Day 26 - Recieved second, fairly non-threatening, letter in the post
Day 53 - Recieved third "FINAL NOTICE" letter in the post.
Day 73 - Recieved letter from CCS Debt Collectors
Day 99 - Recieved Notice Of Intended Action from CCS Collect
Day 119 - Received Final Demand from CCS Collect

All the letters in my chain have been exactly as appears in the "what to expect" sticky thread, with the exception of the Final Notice I got on day 53 which isn't shown in that thread (a little lucky bonus letter for me!). I will report back if any more correspondence appears.

p.s - less of the in-fighting people. Direct all surplus anger at the PPC cowboys!

had third letter, a CCS collect letter from G24 and not heard anything from them for six weeks. Hopefully they have gone away

Many thanks for this helpful, informative and often amusing thread, of which I have read every word this morning. I too have fallen victim to the G24 bullies; they claim that someone driving my car over stayed in the FOCUS DO IT ALL car park in Weybridge, Surrey. I am on my second letter, both of which I have shredded. I sort of knew to ignore these letters because my wife, who is an avid fan of MSE said she read about these so called "fines" on here before. The letters G24 send do look very official, and one could be forgiven for taking them seriously.

I just thought I'd check out the information for myself and I found the posts very reassuring and I thank you all for taking the time and trouble to do the research and posting it here.

My only advice to add: folk who are worried by the letters these vile bullies send is to PUT THE KETTLE ON MAKE A COFFEE HAVE KIT KAT AND SPEND HALF AN HOUR AND READ THIS ENTIRE THREAD - THEN SHRED THE LETTERS. Then forget about these idiots.

They are not going to come knocking on your door. Why? Because it would cost more to send someone round in fuel and time than they would collect.

It is extremely unlikely they are going to take anyone to the small claims court. Why? Because, it would cost at least half the money they are claiming on their invoices in court fees and it would take up so much time, they would need to employ too many staff to administer all the cases. It is very likely they would lose the cases; I expect their claims would probably be summarily dismissed by a judge.

It is obvious, to me anyway, that G24 are playing a numbers game, the more letters they send out the more likely it is some poor soul will panic and cough up their hard earned cash. Don’t Fall For it!

Once again, thanks for the thread keep up the good work and keep the faith. Don’t let these gits bully you.

Right that’s my tuppence worth. I’m off to park in the FOCUS DO IT ALL (If it’s still in business) car park in Weybridge, Surrey for a couple of hours, just for the craic like. YOU, IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE SO ALREADY, SHOULD READ THIS ENTIRE THREAD.

Thanks so much for this whole thread. I received a notice from G24 this morning for overstaying parking at TK Maxx at Grand Junction in Crwew and panicked. I decided to check things out on here and have read the whole thread. I was wondering how, if they only have a camera at the entrance/exit how can they prove you didn't leave an return between these times. Do you think it makes any difference if you left your car there while you left the retail park to visit other stores in the town. I'm going to try and be strong and ignore!

Try not to worry about it, and do not engage them, just ignore the letters and bin them.

I too received a letter from G24 asking me to cough up £75 (£50 if paid within 14 days) after parking at Junction Retail Park, Crewe. I'd overstayed the time by 12 minutes, didn't realise there was a 3 hour limit as the signs are not obvious.
I was hopping mad as the reason I'd gone over the limit was that I'd been in Carphone Warehouse for well over an hour trying to extricate myself from a useless contract with 3 (but that's another story..)
Stupidly I wrote to G24 explaining which shops I'd been spending my hard earned cash in and why. Exactly 7 days later a letter came back telling me my appeal was unsuccessful.
It was at that point, with blood boiling and stress levels soaring, that I googled these cowboys and stumbled across this thread. SO glad I did! The letters have been shredded, as will subsequent ones I'm bound to receive. I refuse to be penalised for parking on private land whilst I go about my day to day business propping up shops in these hard times.
I strongly recommend anyone else who is bulllied by these inconsequential little parasites to do the same!!
