Hi this is my first time on this site and i would be grateful for your help. My son has a mobility car and has got a £95 parking fine for overstaying at a wickes car park. The company the ticket is from is G24. I have read a lot of the posts on this site and everyone says not to pay do you think this will still be the case for my son as a mobillity car is classed as a lease car. many thanx:)

It's doesn't matter what sort of car it is. He doesn't owe them a penny. And, by the way, it's not a "fine", it's an unenforceable invoice.

Click on my username ( which in itself my give you a clue to my relationship with this shower of scammers ) and see my posts - a large majority of them are to do with the threatograms I've received from them and my new hobby of making life just that little more difficult for them. DON'T pay them, DON'T contact them. It's been ages since I received any letters from them or their equally vile "debt collectors" CSS Collect. They DO go away.

I'm new to this threading game so pl be patient if format not quite right. Small print on a G24 parking sign in a private DIY carpark states, "Terms of parking without permission - You do so at your own risk to personal injury & property and agree to the vehicle's owner being issued with a Parking Charge Notice which will be issued by post."

The vehicle keeper has received a PCN but was not the driver at the time. Does this sign weaken the case for the keeper to claim nil responsibility?

    Advice appreciated.

How can the driver agree for someone else to receive a claim? Well you can't so providing the driver remains anonymous they (the ppc) are stuffed, to put it politely.

Regarding the disclaimer about vehicle damage it almost seems as if they are threatening to do damage.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

I'm pretty sure the unnamed DIY store will be Homebase. If so email my mate Terry ( are you getting fed up with this yet Terry ? Just dump G24 and it goes away ! ), he's the CEO of The Home Retail Group who own Homebase -

Ignore EVERYTHING from G24 and their disgusting sidekicks CSS Collect.

  • This is the first time I have ever signed up to any kind of internet forum / blog or whatever else these things are called, so please be gentle with me! I recently collected some mail from my old address - shock horror when I found no less than three letters from - you've guessed - G24! The first is dated from March this year when I apparently outstayed my welcome in a DIY car park. I have spent a great deal of time and anguish over the last few days, trying to compile a comprehensive letter of mittigation. I googled 'G24' to see if I could find a phone number for G24 and immediately stumbled onto this forum. The first few and last few of some 240+ postings have given me great relief! Many thanks to you all! May the force be with us!
