  • I have just got a £50 parking charge notice for parking in a local retail park (meadowhall retial park sheffield), which can be reduced to £25 for payment within 14 days. I was shopping, eating etcfor the whole time but passed the 3 hour limit by 20 mins.

The only worry is that they do have a photo of me driving - can i still ignore this fine????

They don't have a photo of you driving, they have a picture of a car. From that they cannot identify the driver. This is because they haven't got a data-base showing the images and names of everyone in this country. Without that they are stymied. To deny them this knowledge don't write to them and ignore anything you receive from them. One final point, was this actually G24 or another company?

But can they actually put a name to that picture? I doubt it. Even the police don't have that capability. Why do you think they have to have those photo appeals on Crimewatch?

    Ignore, Ignore, Ignore.

Funnily enough they got a picture of me in exactly the same place driving my car, and that is all that i have done.

Latest update. G24 have updated their details with a fake address. Therefore I've asked Nominet to suspend the domain name until a valid address is provided. OK, I admit it's only a small thing but it certainly makes me happy that the scammers that are G24 are at least being hounded. :)
If you'd like to cause some more issues for them take a look at their registration with the Information Commissioner. You can use the search function here G24's ICO registration number is Z9085141 and is due for renewal in June.

The address they provided (when they registered in 2005), at 10-12 the Broadway, Beaconsfield is actually that of a relatively small building occupied by Savills Estate Agents. As far as I can ascertain G24 have no connection with the address although they may have used it, perhaps still use it, as a drop address. As a limited company they should have provided their registered office which was never at The Broadway and, in 2005, was actually in Iver.

Two "erroneous" addresses sounds more like trying to throw none too idle gawpers off the scent but its a little obvious.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Think I will check the registration of other ppc domains, I am sure g24 are not the only ones trying to hide their real addresses ;)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

"Notice Of Intended Action" now recieved.

    We now stand at:
Day 1 - Allegedly used a car park on private land
Day 8 - Recieved a 'parking chage notice' in the post
Day 26 - Recieved second, fairly non-threatening, letter in the post
Day 53 - Recieved third "FINAL NOTICE" letter in the post.
Day 73 - Recieved letter from CCS Debt Collectors
Day 99 - Recieved Notice Of Intended Action from CCS Collect

I pity the poor !!!!!!!s that have to sit around stuffing the envelopes all day. Must be the most tedious existence.
