Well sky you have to laugh don't you.

That night i wasn't myself (as i tried to say the day after when i realised what i'd said in my posts and pmd a mod to get rid of it which they did) a few days before that i saw my neice get knocked down in front of my eyes - nothing anyone could have done to stop it the driver came on the curb so fast. Now i don't care who you are and what you're like, that would mess with anyone's emotional state unless you're made of stone.

The funeral went as well as they ever go thanks. I have just posted a memorial to her on another forum i go on and the people on there have been nothing but so kind since it happened, so i can say that not all forums have mean people in them. But that's life im afraid. Some people might not even realise that what they're saying might offend or upset someone esp as its online and you can't see the person.
sky do you go on any Spt forums? One person made a comment to me on the one im on and they have your id name the same way you do. sorry if it's not you. Must be seeing double haha!

I just say take it all with a pinch of salt what people say.
Remember that not everyone is going to be nice in the way you want them to be.
Try to take into account people's feelings when posting hurtful things.

With the bitterness on here though to you the other day i don't know how you kept so calm, with knowing what i do about what you have said on the Spt -- i would have shut them all up by just telling them what his job was now and is going to be soon lol! Blushes would not be yours my dear i can tell you that.

Quite often there is nothing constructive in some replies on this particular area of the board. The same 'names' crop up merely happy to hurl insults with nothing of any value to say and they appear to have their little gangs of followers..........sadly. I've no doubt many even have different log in's, so they can both thank and agree with themselves and their valueless comments.

Some are so stupid they cannot recognise that the word 'VENT' is in the title and often an OP is merely doing that - letting off steam. Some twit had nothing more to say to one of my 'vents' than telling me to 'chill' - nothing constructive to add about the actual topic of the 'vent'.

I find the rudest people loathe being ignored completely, no response whatsoever to their jibes is the best course of action for the OP. Don't argue, don't defend yourself, simply ignore the post completely and thank those who respond more positively to your thread - even those who disagree totally with your view but put forward their own in a polite, constructive manner.

There is no point in being rude or abrupt to people who are in genuine need of help and I do my best I know I can help.

My pet hate however is seeing people knowing what they are doing is wrong then look for some way to worm out of debts or bills that the rest of us have to get on with.

Example

Some user comes on and says they have been billed for £2000" as they have not paid for energy in over a year and have made no intentions to be billed or pay for what they have used. They then come on here and look for help to NOT pay for these debts by using the back billing code and some of them do not like being to you are in the wrong its not the suppliers fault ect ect.

Education is lacking in bills and should be addressed more to people as some of the questions on here are bordering " How can I screw the system"


But overall yes people can be very abrupt on here at people who may not be in the wrong.

There are a few who seem to take pleasure in being nasty and others who post to stroke their ego and some just to gain sympathy or thanks.

I would suggest that is just a cross section of society, it takes all sorts?

i joined recently, i feel the same as you. It could be some people may have the hidden deal with big brand companies, just trying to save the name of company they support. not everyone some.

As someone posts regularly here, I try & be polite & offer advise where I can .... but sometimes the only way to answer is to be abrupt!!

Especially when someone posts about not paying a TFL charge & ignoring the court summons, now owing £500+, wandering how can get off & moaning about how terrible TFL is!!! I tend to react to posts like that .... I know I shouldn't ...
