They told me credit would not be transferred, but on another thread yesterday someone was promised a refund
I'll send a message to a Board Guide asking to merge the threads0 -
Look up Fresh Mobile closing in the search and you will see the other thread.
I was promised a refund after a bit of haggling.0 -

If you're using our pay as you go tariff and don't make any calls during a 90-day period, we'll assume you no longer require the Fresh Mobile service and may disconnect your account. A £10 administration fee will be charged if you want to be reconnected, so remember to make at least one call every 90 days!0 -

It also says "Your credit is only valid for 90 days from the date you top up".
My understanding was that to maintain/keep any existing credit a top up had to be made no longer than 90 days from last top up.
I know they can disconnect if a chargeable call is not made for a period of 90 days which is the condition you referenced.
That would mean two things happen if the phone is not used for 90 days.
1 Phone disconnected.
2 Credit lost.
In this event a customer would have to pay a £10 reconnection fee and pay for new credit?
If a chargeable call was made within a 90 day period but no top up bought 90 days after last top up, service would be maintained but all credit lost?0 -

our charges..........[/B
Remember....
page14.
It may be that in practice they didn't wipe put credit even if the top up wasn't made or it may be that the condition is ambiguous. I never risked finding out.
I know asda mobile definately don't require top ups at specified intervals.0 -
Hmm... that clause doesn't appear in my copy. Not that it matters now, eh?0

I really appreciate all the info. It sounds good. I'm going to phone on the freefone number and ask for my money back. I've priced Asda, looks good. What order should I do it in? Should I get new sim first then if I ask Fresh for £ back will they give me PAC before cutting me off and then can I go to Asda? I've never moved before and I don't want to lose my number or be without any phone.
Many thanks for help.0 -
'The only reason I racked up that much credit was because of a 90 day top up or we close your service rule'
I have been with Fresh for 4 years and have never heard of this rule. They had a '90 day chargeable event rule' but that was easy - just make one phone call and you were covered. I have never topped up every 90 days - but too late for you to worry about it now. Guess I will go to Asda.0 -

Yes, I'd like to know the logistics of it all too. I'm not quite sure how to go about it all as I have never moved before and don't want to be without a phone for a few days. I hope someone answers you soon with the details.0
