Coffee I haven't gone up to degree level before, I've never studied Psychology before either! Looking forward to getting the old grey matter churning again though - its been far too long since school :rotfl:

See, this is why your my heroine. While i dither and waste-time mulling things over, you just jump straight in at the deep-end :D. I'm older than you :(.... so i hate to think what state my grey matter is in :rotfl:.
    Hi VicB,

I too was wondering when I will get an online password for CCCS . Hopefully someone will come along and be able to answer this for us.

From the moment i contacted CCCS to the day the password was sent took about 3 weeks - hth :).

  • My password came through within about a week of making my first payment.

PPI reclaiming - You can reclaim whilst on a DMP but if you do manage to get anything back it just comes of the balance owing IYSWIM. But I'm sure I read on here somewhere that if you want to reclaim on a DMP it's best to wait until it's all settled down and banks have accepted, rather than upset them right at the start.
  • Tedsd - Capital one have loads of numbers, and they ring and ring again straight after, sometimes from a different number. Luckily if I don't know the number I don't answer, there's an answer phone there if anyone really wants to talk to me.

I'm just dreading the day when the deep end proves too deep  gonna have to learn how to swim :rotfl: My mum started her degree when she was 40 and she swears she got more out of it than she would have done at 18! The only problem she's found is since rattling the grey matter is she's having a job to stop it and is now doing a Masters!!

  • Hi all,
My introduction Im 30 and live in sunny Norfolk - i work in a theatre which I love! I have a dog and 3 bunnys and have been with my OH for 18 months and have lived together for a year..

I had some good news today - Had 3 letters - one about my new bank account and one from MBNA and Virgin saying they have accepted my DMP and interets is 0% woohoooo :j
2 down 7 to go!! - Good start for me and still no word from Egg? Mind you direct debit isnt due until 16th so I guess they will realise then! Only bad news my old bank account Nationwide have added £53 interest to my overdraft with has taken it over its limit  oh well.

Hi Coffee Break  whereabouts in London to you work/live?

Thanks for the help guys, I did mention to the CCCS about reclaiming back PPI and they did say it was up to me but advisable to let the dust settle once they've (hopefully) accepted DMP. Should they let you claim back PPI, they may insist on taking this off you o/s CC debt with them...fine with me!

I'll hold tight on my CCCS password. Payday next week so can finally make my first payment! Hurrah! Then token payments to creditors with letter and then... wait for the phone to ring

Anyone have the 'token payment/I'm with CCCS/don't call, write' letter to hand? :)

One more question - how long is the wait from you/CCCS sending DMP letter to creditor before they contact you? It's been nearly 2 weeks.

    Thanks Ted will do :)

    Just saw this thread...

Interesting stuff about the default date, if correct, we should all have clear credit rating in 6ish years!...:j:j

    ...That's if I'm reading it right, which I think I am ;)

Hi, I noticed that thread re the defaults too, because I was thinking I need to get a default asap but it sounds as if it is from the date we break the agreement...could do with double checking but Yo!:j if it's right!!!

Yes, I mean it would be awesome!! :j I may ask the CCCS next time I give them a call.

Well, I've been sitting right next to the phone all day and it hasn't made a peep! No post either!! Calm before the storm? Or they've all accepted with no questions?
