Great news on the Barclaycard New! Crapital Ones just get worse - they keep emailing me asking them to call! Err, no, I don't think so! From reading other threads on here the "you don't exist" approach to the CCCS is quite a popular one! I wouldn't worry about it mate, just wait until they send you a statement or letter and forward it onto the CCCS and let them deal with the difficult so and so's!Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840

:wave:Thanks true27, any mail I receive will be sent to CCCS straight away as you have advised. I have spent far too long worrying as what to do and have finally found light at the end of this very long tunnel.Live for Today, Nobody is guaranteed Tomorrow:happylove0

Hi NaughtyMummy! Barclays sent me a debit card straight off when I opened a basic account with them, but I've found it really handy! Hear, hear to the happy journeyPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840

Have to say, I find this 'your account doesn't exist' tactic very odd....surely if it 'doesn't exist' then I there's no money balance and I have nothing to pay??
I'm sure if you stopped paying and you used the excuse 'it doesn't exist' they'd soon resurrect it's existence!...utter balls :mad:Paddle No 16

Arrrrrgggh!! :mad::mad:
I've just check my Barclaycard statement (I get online only statements), doesn't look like they've taken notice of my DMP AND I've just realised (I'm really rubbish with checking these things) that I'm pay £13 per month 'Optional Payment Protection Insurance'....!!!!!!? I don't even remember taking this out so it'll be coming straight off!
I took it off my MBNA (Virgin) cc a few months ago and the palava I went through to get it off was ridiculous. Talk about giving you the hard sell. I just used the 'I was made redundant, you didn't help me, sod off' line, which left them speechless. Ha!
Getting a little frustrated by the lack of letters...from anyone.
Also, with the CCCS, I still haven't received my online password. Will I get this once I've paid my first instalment?Paddle No 16

Afternoon guys :wave:.
True and Isis, you lucky so and so's living in Cornwall. I'd give anything to get out of London. It's too bleeding over-crowded and too blinking expensive
.
Hellooooo VicB :wave: *spys VicB sashaying down London's fashionable Carnaby Street*.
Isis, Lloyds have gone quiet on me too... i'm feeling a little uneasy too, but no news is good news, right :pale:
True, I've always wanted to try an OU course, but not sure if i'd be disciplined enough to self-study... let's us know how you find it :T. Have you studied to a degree level before?
Congrats newbeginning re Barclaycard, i'm still waiting to hear from them. For what it's worth Cap1 (although a general pain in the bum at the start) were quite quick in accepting the DMP and didn't play silly bug/gers. Fingers-crossed you get a good result with them.Sealed Pot Challenge member no:918

Vic have you read the stuff about reclaiming PPI on here somewhere? Defo worth it - I've sent off a letter to try and claim it back from CrapOne so I'll let you know how I get on.
Coffee I haven't gone up to degree level before, I've never studied Psychology before either! Looking forward to getting the old grey matter churning again though - its been far too long since school :rotfl:Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -

I too was going to suggest reclaiming PPI. I did not know if it was possible when on a DMP? I wonder if anyone knows?Live for Today, Nobody is guaranteed Tomorrow:happylove0
