storm that sounds like a fantastic challenge what are you doing to get fit for it ? i would love to do the west highland way but never heard of the glen one sounds lovely hey you can always pop down for a break when your done if you fancy .

Well, my get fit bit is along the lines of trying to lose some weight through eating healthier (not a diet per se, just trying to reduce portion size a bit, resist chocolate as much as possible etc. I'm also going to try and plan in a reasonable length walk every other weekend at the minimum through the summer - hopefully building my stamina up to doing a full weekend locally of about 30 miles.

Davina is great. On the first one they do a warm up, legs and bums, upper body and then tums and a cool down. Which you can do in any order, I normally to a warm up one of the main sections and then a cool down. The other DVD is a series of 3 separate 30 min workouts. It means I can fit it into my day.

And the privacy of my own home!!

Just started reading your diary and finding it really interesting..

Best of luck with the challenge - keep up the good work!

I lost 30lbs with WeightWatchers last year and got fit - started running and was in the gym all the time - and it was the best thing I've ever done. I've since put back on about 10lbs and really want to get rid of them again! so will be reading your diary for motivation!

Sorry to hear you didn't get the job but I'm sure the right job for you will come along soon x

El, I have a copy of the Davina DVD that I don't use - do you want me to send it over? It is only sitting on my shelf gathering dust.

that wold be brilliant hypno honestly it would ...i honestly tell you my nerves are shattered here i feel like a junkie dont take away my mse ...ok gonna write quickly to a few if i miss yousorry i will get back ...

storm 30 miles is a lot i know your gonna build yourself up to it but how do you have a walking plan (should i get one) are you doing it something like mine ie 3000 steps a day for so long then adding more but instead of steps maybe miles (i have no doubt you are way fitter than me i need steps to begin with lol)

lucy thanks very much for the davina idea i think just doing a short blast will be better than a long slow burn to begin with i'm gonna try hypnos first and if it works will maybe get the rest

sea yes i am dressed i did go and do it not very well dressed but dressed no need to scare sons friends when they come to the door lol...tell me about the gym membershit i might need to join at some ppoint and any advice would be welcome ...sea i need to write more and everyone else i need to write more but i need to go i dont want to go arrrghhhh ...but i have 2 mins left

Ok No problem - Davina will be on its way to you shortly. I love her workouts but just don't have the time to do them so it just sits on my bookcase! You will certainly notice the difference after a few goes at it!!

I started doing it after everyone raved on the Weightwatchers website about it. I am at the ski club at the moment but should be home in time to catch today's post, otherwise it will be sent tomorrow.
