oh no! Your in-laws sound like they're making it all much harder than it needs to be! Do tey expect you to pay for the damage? Surely not? If you give them the excess amount, they can't really expect you to pay for anything else can they? If they can't be bothered with the hassle, that's up to them, but they can't expect you to pay becuase of that?!

What has hubby said about it?

Goodness El, just because you want an exciting life doesn't mean you have to go getting yourself pushed into the middle of the road now, does it  I know how much you enjoy dealing with lawyers and insurance companies, but honestly, if you want to chat to those lovely people, just pick up the phone and ask them if they are having a nice day, and whether they have discovered the benefits of being on MSE or buying Lush stuff. No need to find a "kosher" reason for getting in touch. Dear me!

Anyway, sorry to read about stuff, but glad that it doesn't seem to be as bad as initially thought.

    Two things spring to mind:

    1) having time off work for an accident caused by someone smashing into you should not go against you - it is not as though you are giving the impression of being a lightweight who has a month off for pmt (no offence meant to anyone who has bad pmt, but you know what I mean)

    2) make the most of your injuries for the purposes of sympathy. Extra groaning when you move may just get you that extra cup of tea made, or a bath run. Walking lopsided gets you out of the hoovering, and losing the use of your arms means that someone else has to do the dinner (even if all you have are dry oatcakes and dust).

It does sound like the in-laws are making a bit too much of a fuss over it - that's what car insurance is for, and it's really not a lot of hassle to sort out a crash when you weren't the one at fault, it's just a couple of phone calls.

Hope you are feeling okay and not in too much pain xxx

oh el you poor love! I've not really been on much recently and missed all yoru goings on, hope your feeling better and less sore. Please please please don't let it all get to you, bad things happen and we make ourselves stronger by fighting through it. I know it's hard and worse that your still trying to deal with the last accident but you will get through this and be a stronger and better person for it.

big squishy (but gentle so we don't hurt your booboo's) hugs

tired, but that doesn't seem too unusual at the moment. Am off to the docs on thurs for some blood work again  stupid woman at work today turned around and said 'maybe your pregnant', I commented that if I was I'd be about five months gone and have had my totm a couple of times since (on the pill and don't always stop) she was like 'well it happens' and now I'm totally paranoid  why do people have to say things like that?
