The balance board isn't very reliable for me PA as mine is on carpet, I was delighted a couple of weeks ago when it told me I'd lost weight but it was just confused!

Maybe my bloating/ big belly is TOTM related, I'm due next week so I might just be blowing up now in preparation? I hope that's what it is!

I think I'm going to look into more dancing games for my Wii, I may have found my exercise of choice!

  • Birdie I find I blow up the week before and start to deflate a day or two before, then have lost weight (usually) the week after...

Our balance board is on wooden flooring and seems fairly reliable.

Can't be TOTM for me - haven't had that for several years now (can't say I miss it either:rotfl:). A bit drastic, but I found hysterectomy sorted that one out;)

:rotfl: That's shocking, isn't she supposed to support you?!

Well done Dinah, and I agree Birdie, surely it's TOTM related? That's what I'm putting my non-loss down to, hoping for some headway on Monday.

I change my profile on Food Focus to say I wanted to be 9.13 by my birthday (12.02), and I need to lose 1.5 lbs a week, which I think will be a bit of a struggle given my recent reacquaintance with food!

Avogirly, I seem to thenk liquorice is good for the digestion? So not too bad! I've had 2 cups of coffee so far, waiting for colleague to go and make the teas so I can have my cereal bar!

Brilliant does that mean I can have them for every breakfast!!!!! I must say I LOVE ready brek...............might have that for lunch. I think my eating habits are a bit backwards!!!

Errr, Avogirly I don't think the soft sweet liquorice is really that good, I think it's the natural stuff you get in sticks from the health food shop that's good for you! Shame... Well, for you it is, I hate the stuff!

I've narrowed my Wii games down to Just Dance and Wii Fit Plus

How the heck do I make links nice and neat like everyone else does? I've never figured that one out!

    ETA: Does it work?
EATA: Yay! So simple when you know how! Thanks Tete!

  • Birdie you type your reply as normal, for example "I've narrowed it down to Just Dance and Wii Fit Plus", then highlight the word(s) you want your link to be under, eg Just Dance, then click the button that looks like a world and a pair of goggles and it brings up a box for you to copy the link into.

It's funny isn't it.................people either love or hate liquorice, I think its the same for cough candy.

BTW..........Wii Fit Plus is just brilliant isn't it! I don't own it but my bro and sis in law do, and we have so much fun using it!

I'm quite keen to try Wii Fit Plus because it does sound a lot better than Wii Fit. I like the idea of making your own work-out rather than stopping and starting on Wii Fit. I like the balance games on it too, my Mum comes round to 'see me' and always asks to play on the balance board! I don't trust my Dad on it though, he keeps leaning too far forward and I'm paranoid he's going to go headfirst into the TV!

    So far today I've had:
hot apple (cored and sliced apple microwaved for a min so its still strong but hot) with non fat activia yoghurt : 105 cals, and weight watchers tikka and basmati for lunch: 362 cals, which is great as I have over 600 cals for dinner so since I'm having a vegetable stir fry I should have enough cals left over for a hit of chocolate later, or a bagel for an afternoon snack. Yummy!

  • This is a good idea - confessions! I've had so far 2 cups of coffee, one cup of tea, a Weetabix cereal bar, 4 ryvitas and a cup-a-soup, totalling 352 calories. Got a diet chicken lasagne for before class (about 350), which leaves plenty for a post-sew slice of toast and glass of vino! :)
