Wow Dinah, weight loss is great. Is it actually phisically possible to lose 4lbs in 2 days:think:? You see, I never had this experience :D.

I think it'll be water weight which is why it's so much initially. When you cut out carbs there's nothing to retain water so bloating goes down hence huge weight loss! After this it'll be real weight loss! I'd like to do a diet like this but it is so expensive!

LOL @ Tete, I don't think I'd be good at spinning either! According to doctors and phsios my legs and feet are totally under-developed for some strange reason so I probably won't be able to support myself either! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! :rotfl:
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Oh wow so it's the carbs that retain the water? I never realised that, makes sense though! (She says, tucking into a sandwich!) :o

Its only 5 days on the meat/fish/veggies/eggs part, then its pretty much normal food just nothing proceessed and no sugar, I think you'd probably find it works out cheaper after the initial 5 days buying 'real' food rather than a normal shopping trolley which might contain a few pre-prepared foods, booze, treats etc.

That's a good point - it's not like doing Atkins when it's forever!

I don't think I've got any sins to confess from yesterday...
    Breakfast: Start, cereal, cuppa
Lunch: Buffet lunch at work (couldn't really count calories, but lots of lentil salad, roasted veg and homemade stuff)
Dinner: Prawn linguine (ready meal - OH is out on a Wednesday and I like something quick as I get back late from the gym)
Snacks: Go Ahead bar and single voddy & diet coke

I may have caved and had a sneaky weigh in :o but looks like I'm 1lb down so that should keep me motivated for Monday's weigh in!

Currently making parsnip and butternut squash 'chips' with nutmeg, and have them with some bacon for brunch. Also making (yet more) soup and I'm trying a sort of tomato dip (I miss sauce) made from live yoghurt, tomato puree, garlic and ginger. We'll see if that works in any way! Really looking forward to saturday when I can reintroduce fruit and dairy and wholemeal bread and pasta, will be a lot easier. Apparently I'm not supposed to leave phase 1 until my cravings have gone, but right now I'm craving strawberries and banana and I don't see a problem with either of these foods to munch on!

Dinah, how is the diet going? I wouldn't be able to cut out carbs, I would just collapse. I'm really active (cycling 1hr a day, plus gym, etc), so I need the energy. My diet is going well, though I stood on the scales this morning and it showed I was 59.5 kgs. That's a gain but I actually feel lighter. I have been drinking tons of water recently (no squash at all!) and really cut down on food but topped up my exercise so I'm guessing that it's more muscle than fat as I honestly feel that my clothes are getting loosy on me. We shall see.

I'm off to the gym on Sat and Sun, I did 70 min circuit exercise yest.

I just had a huge bowl of strawberries and raspberries with a hot dark chocolate cream sauce, and it's recommended in the diet book.. Love it right now.

I am back after running away last time. We are going on holiday in June (hopefully booking in the next few days) so really need to get working on the bikini body. I want to lose about 11lbs and have about 10 and a half weeks to do it so about 1lb a week which i think is pretty doable. I will be starting tomorrow properly but weighed in this morning at 10st 4.

Ha ha, welcome back Wendz! That sounds good - where are you planning on going on hols?

Dinah, that diet sounds pretty darn good to me too :)

Kavics, I imagine with all that exercise you are definitely toning up! I love it when your clothes start feeling looser - have you tried taking measurements?

I had an another eating-based weekends which needs to stop! Or at least slow down, but it's much more difficult when the weather is so rubbish. I turned down snacks at the cinema though, so that's a start... The scales say a 1lb loss but it's TOTM so who knows?!

Hello fat fighters, I'm back on the wagon well and truly, want to be all gorgeous and skinny for when the strappy tops come out! (Even though it's forecast snow this week!)

I reported didn't I that according to Boots scales last week I was 11 stone?!!! I've just been and weighed myself again and am down to 10 stone 11lbs - so that's a bit better, but curiously I also seem to have shrunk by a couple of inches! Anyway, I've put myself down as a 3lbs loss and sorted out my account with FoodFocus; if I lose 1.5lbs per week I can be 9.13 by 25th May...

Today I have eaten so far:

    2 coffees
    2 mint teas
    1 very small apple
Quite a large portion of wholewheat past with tuna, toms, mushrooms, sweetcorn and onion - which according to FF only comes out at 320 cals!

Planned for the rest of the day:
    Another very small apple
    Porridge or cereal for tea
    Probably about four more cuppas!

I'm unsure of getting weighed in Boots at 50p per go though, not very MSE. But it doesn't match my scales so not sure what to do. Need batteries anyway!

How's everyone else doing? Welcome Wendz - you'll look all skinny and brown in Egypt! How's the Harcombe going Dinah?
