Harcombe is a diet based on the idea of never eating carbs and fats in the same meal. The first 5 days are sort of detox days though, it's only been since this morning but I don't think I've ever gone this long without chocolate. I can see me struggling quite a bit, before jacking it all in and deciding life is too short for not eating the foods I enjoy! The first 5 days would be okay if you liked most foods as you can have meat, fish, eggs and veggies (no spuds), and 50g brown rice a day - but for me the complete lack of decent carbs and sugar, and the fact that I can't have squash and hate water so I'm hardly drinking, mean I'm already in a place where I daydream about carbonara, pizza hut pizza, hotel chocolat chocolates, diet coke and even pate on toast. I'm doing it with my mum and NIM though, otherwise I know I'd have caved already! Give me strength girlies - does anyone know of a website where I can digitally skinny a piccie of me to show me how I'd look if I lost the (nearly) 2 stone?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Why do you want to lose 2 stone? You're already super skinny! Your wedding dress will fall off if you lose any more!
I've not been updating as our scales need a new battery! I've been pretty much the same though, been trying to snack less but this weekend I went totally off track! I was looking in the full length mirror in the loos at work on Friday and my bottom looked massive though so I think I have to put more effort in!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I'm a 10/12 now, I want to be a solid 8. And the daft thing is I'm not super skinny, at 10 stone 2lbs I'm at the high end of 'normal' on the bmi scale, I just want to look great on my honeymoon photos I guess.
I've had to go hardcore since I kept loosing the will after only a week of being good, right now I feel faint despite having eaten a heck of a lot of meat and veggies today, it could be that I've hardly drank anything as I hate plain water, I can't wait for Saturday when I can reintroduce dark chocolate.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I don't get people who 'hate' water- it's the best thing ever! It's so refreshing and super good for you, I'm having a glass right now! The more you drink it the better you'll feel and the more you'll want. As for feeling faint, you'll feel grotty all week until your system gets used to it and then you'll feel great, just stick to it to feel the benefit!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Birdie you should get a job as some sort of diet motivator! Dinah can you not even drink fruit teas as a way of getting liquid into you? I have to say I'd find it really hard not to cheat if I was in the house all day by myself like you are
Our scales need new batteries as well, but they are little round ones which I think are expensiveMight just go back to the Boots scale on Monday and see if there's any difference there...
Back on the wagon today (though had a big slice of Birthday cake last night), and I'm going to list on here what I've had this week, then going to update Food Focus, as I used to do well when I was on there.
Monday:
2 x coffee
Nutty flapjack thing (v. bad)
Jacket potato with prawns (quite bad)
Galaxy Caramel (V bad!)
2 x mint tea
Ham and mushroom omelette
Slice of coffee cake
cup of tea
(You see, this is the kind of eating I've slipped back into, a chocolate bar each day etc...)
Tuesday:
2 x coffee (so far)
4 Ryvitas with cream cheese and a cup a soup for dinner
Don't know what for tea...
Hopefully if I confess I won't cave!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Tete, your Monday food sounds so nice and comforty, it was bound to be bad!
I had falafel, low fat houmous and salad for lunch; chicken breast, sweet potato wedges and veg for dinner and a curly wurly!
Actually it was all in my points, so hopefully it felt naughtier than it was!
Had a cup of tea and some sultana bran so far today and excited about elevenses. A lovely healthy banana instead of 2 chocolate digestives *sigh*
Keep up the good work and confessionals all!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
I had a small slice of chocolate brownie yesterday:o.
But I went to the gym beforehand and ate only half of my dinner so not feeling very guilty:D.
I had musli and yoghurt for breakfast, lunch will be salad and some berries, dinner is the same as yesterday. And I booked spinning class so I guess I'll be shattered tonight.0 -
A curly wurly's not that bad Poddle! Love the sound of the sweet potato wedges, nomnom!
Going to update my sig - I want to get down to 10-3 on the Boots scales, so need to lose 11lb!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Managed 4 pints of Brita filtered today. Hoping another pint before bedtime, but it's still vile! Usually I drink about 10 pints of sugar free squash a day, so this is a big cut down for me.Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »Back on the wagon today (though had a big slice of Birthday cake last night)
Everyone pigs out the night before the start of a new diet, no fault there!
Food today:
Breakfast: Stir fried turkey, peppers, tomatoes and rocket
Lunch: Homemade tomato and carrot soup, cajun chicken bits
Snack: Pork chop
Dinner: Homemade coconut chicken curry with brown rice/cauliflower mash

Seems so wrong seeing 'pork chop' written as a snack!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
