So you signed as a witness to something you didn't actually witness? Oh dear that was a bit silly wasn't it - Go to the police, tell them everything, if you have a history of mental illness you can get a something from your GP stating this. MIL you say? what family will you lose and why? If you other half will leave you because of something their mother tricked you into then quite frankly not much of an other half are they?
It was silly on dh part. he is going to take the punishment as it comes.0 -

The problem is, usually for any legal forms the person has to sign infront of a witness - so if he has signed as someone else then the person who witnessed this will also be in trouble? and it usually has to be someone outside of the family - so you mother has faked that too or are there more people involved?0

Your Mum has caused a great deal of trouble for your family by putting her own needs first.
How would you feel about your husband going to prison?:cool:0 -

DH got home from police station, they are awaiting further investigations and he can be called in at any time.
He will not get away with anything as it is all recorded. Just waiting for the Police now0 -
Just out of interest, if you only found out recently what the form was all about, what did the MIL say it was when you signed it?Do good deeds and you could raise the curtain, do good deeds and you could really raise your life....0

I'm still very confused with this.
At the start of the thread you said it was to do with £750,000 land/property, your MIL and money lenders. Later you say it is your family name that you have signed and that's why you will lose your family. I asked if you had forged a signature and your OH confirmed this but that you also signed as a witness too.
I don't understand how your MIL thought she could get away with this. I presume she has signed over the property to money lenders as a guarantee?0
