  • Bluefire, you can have 42g of All Bran if that's any help (and I find that a tad TOO much but I do agree about the 28g - you could always add extra and SYN it)

Actually on the subject of All Bran, which I have loved since I was a child (but of course we had golden syrup dribbled over it in those days sorry for mentioning that!) I have started using it like Magic Porridge. I put some frozen fruit into a bowl** to defrost overnight, then in the morning add my All Bran and a mullerlight yoghurt, mix it all up and eat it, scrunchy, fruity and yoghurty!

** someone tell me why I kept typing "bowel" instead of "bowl" please :rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Apparently long threads slow the boards down and as ours has reached a massive 58 pages long, I thought it was time to start a new one.

Yes we're up to 49 pages now - it's all the New Year enthusiasm which tends to start waning about the end of February so we shall see how many of us are still here in a month or so.

Everyone is doing so well with their weight loss.....special congrats to Rob, especially as things are proving difficult on a personal front at the moment.

For those struggling a bit, dig out your books and read from the beginning (specially the Choose Success booklet). Reread any old mags for the inspirational stories and the 7 day menus. Hang up a favourite item of clothing from the 'slim' days on the wardrobe door to keep you motivated. Put pictures of someone who's figure you admire on the fridge door/biscuit tin etc to make you think before indulging.

It can be done if you're commited to sticking to the plan. If you can't sustain the commitment, don't beat yourself up, perhaps it's just not the right time for you......give it a week or two and try again. When your head is involved iin the decision to slim, you'll do it :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • I lost 2.5lb this week, which took me to my 2.5stone award!
it's taken me ages till lose this last 1/2 stone
i'm swimming twice a week, wii fitting twice a week walking twice a week and not a lot (unless you count cleaning) the other day.
i'm out tomorow night but im going to drink and enjoy myself, and put the effort in the rest of the week (well when i have recovered)
    flexi day tomorow.
well done to all the losers, a special mention to rob as i do read everyday to inspire me, and you always do that rob.

Sorry to keep asking for syn values would some kind person please look up syn values for
Asda Crispy Fries ( their Frecn Fries)
Sainsburys Liver and Bacon chilled serves 2

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but some GPs can prescribe weight loss on prescription, you get 12 weeks free so it may be worth asking your GP or practice nurse about it
  • hey

i joined 3 weeks back but the first week was heavy snow , last week i had a tummy bug and birthday per day so i started again yesterday as the other times i hadn't bothered but spent yesterday writing a meal plan for the whole week and have been rather good (yes i know its only day two but thats better than day 0! ;) )

    today i had
    breakfast - nothing (forgot )
lunch - 2 sandwhichs so 2 slices of nimble bread was my heb and the other two were syned at 4 so i had 8 syns there :s ( thats what i'm struggling with i love my bread so tiny bread makes me think tiny food then before i know it im eating two sandwhichs) and had a deli filler of egg mayo which is only 1 syn per spoon and then lots of grapes!
dinner - i had more grapes as i wasn't very hungary and was going to make pasta but its to late now so i'm just going to pass

so looking at it now i have had a bad day by not eating properly but i promise yesterday i did! :D

L will be Jacket Potato with bake beans and 28g cheese.

D will be hubbies chicken curry. He has been instructed not to use oil so will keep fingers crossed on that one. Wondering if #I would be ok if I just pick out the vegetables and have that with the rice.

Snacks = fat free yogurts, apples, blueberries, herb tea.
