Slimming World support thread for 2010

Apparently long threads slow the boards down and as ours has reached a massive 58 pages long, I thought it was time to start a new one.
Hopefully, this will be the year that your commitment to losing weight remains strong and, as we all know, there is no more generous slimming plan than Slimming World's food optimising. Where else could you have bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and baked beans for breakfast, jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn for lunch and fish, chips and mushy peas for tea all as free food, unlimited, and with no calories or points to count. (other plans even have you using precious points to eat fruit for goodness sake )
Here's the link to the recipe thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=1948340&postcount=3
Hope to see everyone here until they reach their own personal target

morning, god why are we all up so early on a Sunday? I cant remember the last time I had a nice lie in.
My 2 are doing my head in all ready, they are so loud lol. We need to get out somewhere today, we are all going stir crazy.
I enjoyed my 2 glasses of wine last night and also had 2 scan bran with free salmon pate, it was delicious. I feel quite good as I normally say sod it and end up wit more wine or more crisps. The thing is I didnt even miss them.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Good morning ladies. Well I'm up early as I had baby sitting duties last night and DGS is an early riser - been up since 5.30
Nic it sounds as though your attitude to slimming is much more positive since you can have a little of something without it blowing the plan completely. A little wine to wash down the scan bran sounds just the thingI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

5.30  yup thats early, mine were 6.45, but I left ds in his cot for a while as he was singing Santa Claus is coming to town over and over and dd was watching the tweenies in her room a bit too loudly. Got up when I could hear 'mummy I done a poo'not a nice way to wake up. (that was ds by the way).
Your right though, Ive tried to take my own advice, I keep telling people to use their syns for the treats they love and not deprive themselves. In the past ive used syns daily on rubbish and not enjoyed them. Now I save a few each day, so even though the wine and scan bran took me over slightly it will all balance out through the week. I always try and have about 5-8 syns everyday on a choccy biccie and sauce or spread, that way im still having a treat everyday.
Its just hard to get over the 'its the weekend, I must enjoy myself'' mentality. i dont feel like being naughty too much through the week, and even when im hungry I nibble on the right foods. But on Friday and Sat I have this constant feeling of what treats are we going to have, its the weekend.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
btw, incase anyone notices my starting weight in my sig has changed. That weight was from when I started last year, my weight has come off and on since then, so decided to take the weight I was at the beginning of Jan as my new starting weight, as I have been sticking to the plan properly since then.
Ive chose my first mini target, to lose a stone. Id like to of lost that and maybe a wee bit more by valetines day.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Morning all!
Thanks for the shiny new thread consultant - it's so busy already!! :T
Thanks also to nic2075 for your reply about the bhajis. I also tried the onion ones and enjoyed them. The vegetable ones are free, but don't seem to have any spices in them....but don't worry, I'll change that! I'm a bit of a spice fiend!
If I do make them I'll let you all know if they are worth the effort or not
Hope we all have a good dayStarted Slimming World 1st January 2010.

Hi everyone, Happy New Thread!
Today is a boyfriend day so meals are as follows:
Breakfast - toast and tea (HEb and HEa)
snack - pineapple finger and grapes
Lunch - curry savoury rice then some fruit (it's asda day tomorrow so cupboards are a bit bare)
Dinner - SW yellow thai curry (the one in the magazine), rice and veg on the side (don't ask what veg, BF is supplying those), maybe with a wee treatlet for dessert.
Hmm actually is that too much rice in one day? Might change that to a chicken breast and some more fruit, I don't have anything in that could make a sauce.0
