Thank you all for getting back to me....that's great, I'll look for it when at shops again.

Kiwichick.....I think I've been looking in the wrong place :o

Skint_Catt.....I'm glad I don't need to soak it first as no time in the mornings.

retiredlady....It sounds really nice and filling. I'm going to get more yogurts 2 moro, I've plenty of fruit in so will make it when I get the rice.

    Thanks again

well this weekend hasn't been all that great for me. I think it's not going to a group meeting for so long as I've been away so I'm really looking forward to this weeks!! Glad to see so many new people joining and I hope you all find it as great a success as I have!!

Hi, I feel the same about the classes, I have to go to keep motivated. I did really well when I went to class at the beginning, then I moved house and didnt rejoin for ages. I thought I could do it at home but i really needed the motivation and support I get at class. I also feel I cant let myself down by not losing and having to tell everybody, so it encourages me to stick to the plan. And when I go I make sure I stay, I want my moneys worth lol. I know some people cant stay because of other commitments, but at my new class that 2 weeks in a row about 30 odd weighed in and only 11 stayed to the class.

I'm the opposite!!;) When I first started at SW I decided I would give it 100% and stayed to every single meeting. I always made food for the taster evenings, cooked new recipes and shared ideas. There were a good handful who did the same. A lot just weighed and left though. Our consultant asked everyone who weighed in to stay for Body Image etc and a few more did.

This had a negative effect on me because the extra ones who did stay were always moaning, complaining about what they couldn't have and would almost brag about how they couldn't be bothered to try cooking healthy stuff and "if it doesn't come in a tin or packet I don't want to know." It wouldn't be so bad but most of them were many stones overweight and totally sluggish-looking.

I stuck it out for nearly a year and then decided to go it alone and now I just have to keep myself positive and not listen to others complaining.
  • I'm sorry I have synned!!

Umm...should I bother asking how many syns in a choux cream bun....??!

My first class where I used to live was fantastic, the consultant was full of beans and didnt mince her words, she was also hilarious, most of the people who came, stayed, only a few who had babies or work left. So I think the actual class and its members is important. This is my second class ive tried since moving away, this one seems a bit better, they are more keen to actually cook stuff and exchange recipes, and the consultant seems good so far.
The class I went to before xmas was similar to the one you mentioned, they all wanted an easy time, and even boasted about going for chips after the class, or bragging about how much they had to drink and still lost. I didnt enjoy going and it showed on my motivation.
I feel like I did 2 years ago when I first joined. Im up for it and enjoying the class and the couple of hours out of the house. Im afraid I just cant do it at home. I love getting the praise when Ive done well (im sad I know) I need the kick up da bum when Im not doing so good and I need the extra ideas.

thanks Gpuk, i ended up just eating some from the tub lol!

Bad day today: had a steak, salad and SW wedges for dinner then disaster struck and i had a rhubarb crumble and custard! It was only a teensy bit of crumble and it was healthy living custard but added to my kit kat earlier i recon I came in at 17.5 syns today!!!!! I think it's partly to do with that time of the month I just want sugar!

    Hi Ladies!
    Can I join you?

I joined SW in November and have lost a stone already! Really pleased as I still have a lot to go, 2 children in 2 years not so great for the figure but well worth it!!
I am going for my club 10 target hopefully in the next 6 weeks! Have found some lovely recepies and my 2 year old loves all the SW items that I have cooked so far!

Can highly reccomend the Homity Pie in the new issue of the SW magazine. Its lovely and I have some in the freezer for when DH is working evenings!

Weigh in tomorrow, hopefully have done well. My jeans are feeling loose! A good sign I think!

    Good Luck everyone
    Kate
    xx

Good to here that the homity pie is nice as its on my list to make next week - I make a much more detailed shopping list since joining SW and I think it really helps
