  • Hi i have just joined on line today, i am busy trying to read through al the notes etc., and i'm following the extra easy plan - can someone tell me can i eat freely the muiler light yogurts, and which ones? some have chocolate in them!
Plus i thought all veg was free, but when i looked up my home made pe & ham soup, it said i had to add 3.5 syns! why?
Sorry to be a pain, but it will take a bit of getting used to...

GlasweJen, I'd love to hear what the yellow thai curry is like! Me and my OH used to make a cracking thai green veg curry...but with all the full fat coconut milk and oil etc, I saw that one in the magazine last night and I'd definitely like to try it out, but if you could do the first tasting that would be great...;)

Hello karen and welcome! All muller lights are free except the layer ones - they normally have about 2.5 syns each. But the chocolate ones are free as long as it isn't the one with the cherry layer at the bottom.

Not sure about your soup unless you are doing a red or green day - then you would have to syn either the peas or the meat depending. If you are on EE and havn't added any fat it should be free. Would have to know what day you are on and see the recipe to say for certain!

    Hi Everyone :hello:

I was thrilled to find this thread as I have decided to join my local Slimming World group on Thursday.

I have alot of weight to lose but am determined and think joining a group will help motivate me to do it. I like the sound of the SW plans, especially not having to weigh and measure all the time and being a family of four I dont want to be cooking seperate meals for the kids.

From what I have read so far people on here are supportive and encouraging so I hope I can be of help too.

Good luck everyone with your weight loss. :D

    Welcome Angiepange! :j:j:j

  • thanks for that - the yogurt is a vanilla one with choc sprinkles in. i couldn't seem to find them anywhere on the database of foods. i am following the EE plan for the time being, as my friends seem to be doing very well on this.
i have quite a large amount of weight to lose (79lbs) so will be reading all these threads daily for some inspiration - thanks

Thanks Consultant31 for the nice new shiny thread :)

    Food so far today:

Breakfast/Lunch: 2 slices wholemeal nimble, thin spead of low low, slice of ham & 1 very thin slice of cheese (HEB, 6 syns & HEA)
Snack: walkers backed cheese & onion (5 syns)
Dinner: boiled potatoes then done in the frying pan with a few squirts of flylight, slice of roast beef and a taste of gravy (free, HEB, say 4 syns for gravy?)

    Drinks: sugar free diluting juice

Snacks: will hopefully have 2 mandarin oranges (free) & a mullerlight (free)
Will edit if i eat something different.

I find that by posting my daily intake on here that it helps me a bit.

Well done debjay 5 lbs in 2 weeks is great.

I will never understand how the body works. How you can do the same things in both weeks and one week you can sts or lose 0.5 lb & the next week a 4 or 5 lb loss.

Never mind as long as it keeps coming off.

    Jo

I know I cant believe that I have had chips twice and gammon and still lost weight.

Trying to remember how I felt today so I can really motivate myself to stick to the plan esp if I have weeks when I dont lose

B bitesize shreddies (HEB) with some of my milk allowance
L Muller light and 2 bananas chopped up
D beef stew recipe from SW online with green beans and carrots (2 syns as I have added onion gravy powder)

Yellow curry is actually quite nice, i'd definately try it if you like thai food. Had it with a big salad and lots of basmati rice.

Hey Pennylane, good to see you back again :D Well done on not gaining any of the weight back during your time off plan, that bodes well for the future.

The EE plan is really easy, honestly....

There are 3 steps to every day (just like the Original and Green plans).
    1) Make full use of free foods first and foremost.
    2) have one HEA and one HEB from the lists for both Original and Green days.
    3) Still have 5-15 syns a day and if the syn value differs for the O and G plan, you take the lowest value for EE (yes really!).

Weight losses are good, but the best way to guarantee a good loss is to make one third of your plate all superfree foods (eg; if you want a steak with SW chips, fill one third of your plate with a salad, or use mushrooms, tomatoes etc - must be superfree, not just free foods.

If you look on the website, you will find a 7 day plan giving you lots of ideas.

Take courage and give it a go - it really does work :D
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
