PP - I love reading about your daughter , you have a good wee money saver there.

I am taking my dd camping for a night. She has never been and I haven't been for over twenty years! I bought a tent at the car boot sale yesterday, so hoping its all there. I didn't have enough lawn sapce to try it on. We do have a tiny 'camp in the garden' kind of tent, so will take that just in case. Lovely weather here. No ccoking equipment yet, so will make up a salad and take some nice bread.

    Hiya everyone,

Well big sigh of relief. DGS has just fallen to sleep. This morning after m'tea DH & I took him for a walk in his stroller to the shops to get bread & milk & he fell asleep. Only slept for about 1/2- 3/4 hr but refused to sleep after lunch. He usually goes down really well but it must have taken the edge off needless to say guess who was a cranky pants from late afternoon. :p XDIL was suppose to come back here around lunch and she still has not shown up or let me know what's going on. Surprise!! NOT. The ferry's stop running on Sunday at 10pm and the buses at 6.30pm and it's now 7pm.

My plans for the rest of the night are just to veg out. DGS is leaving on the train tomorrow around 5pm (I think) so afterwards I will catch the bus to the s'centre and do a shop. DH can swing by and help me on the way home from his work. ;)

Have a nice day everyone. It's been overcast here with showers this arv.
    Byeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all!
Haven't been around here long, so I hope you don't mind a newbie joining you

hope you're all enjoying wonderful weather as we are here. Well, I say enjoying the weather... what I really mean is I'm still on the sofa in PJ's looking at a nice blue sky out of the window, but close enough :p

Trying to motivate myself to go get ready then head for a car boot before I have to go to work. Have worked 7 days this week, so a car boot seems like a day out in comparison!

    Morning Everyone

    welcome softstuff.

I can't believe it is Sunday already. Why does the best part of the week go at Superspeed???

We had a manic day yesterday. I went to Meadowhall shopping for a work colleagues retirement pressie. We found a bargain Radley handbag in the sale. Down from £120 to £84, and then i had a voucher with my debenhams card to save and extra 10%, and also got a free toblerone. We are hoping other staff at school donate a bit extra so we can also get her a bunch of flowers as she has worked there over thirty years, but some of them are so tight it is unbelievable. I ended up having to put an extra tenner myself, when i had already put £10 in. I also picked up my free 'emma's diary pack' that i have been trying to get for months, to find out it was a mini box of bran flakes, a pack of fruit flakes, and a small sample of anti stretch mark cream. Hardly worth the trek.

DH had stripped the wallpaper in the living room while i was out, and been to the tip.

Then in the evening, we went to the wedding reception for my godmothers son. That was a good night out as my family were all getting on for a change. They can sometimes get really mardy when drinking. It was unfortunately like a bit of a busmans holiday as quite a few of my first lot of year 10s i ever taught were there, and not nice ones. But you can't win them all.

So we were in bed for about 12:30, which is really far too late for me. So i'm rather shattered this morning. Also have a really sore back.

Plan for today, DH is out at work, so i think i will pop to the shop for some basics, and then settle down to a get lots of school work out of the way day. The best thing is that this is the last weekend i will do this until returning to work after maternity leave. Wish me luck.

    Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

    Hello everyone

It's yet another gloriously sunny and bright day here in N.Ireland. Luckily it rarely gets **too hot** over here, usually just pleasantly warm to very warm. It's lovely!

manicdays (Lisa) I am so glad to hear you enjoyed seeing aha last night. That Morten fella is a right tasty bit of alright... And glad to hear you got something sorted out so that you can see them again on Wednesday. Lucky you... BTW, did you read my last message on yesterday's thread? If not, have a look now and get ready to go very green...:D:rolleyes:.

Moggins it's a delight to read that your house is a wreck. No no no don't shout at me! I just have this vision that you're always on top of your housework, and that you manage to keep some consistant semblance of order. Has Flylady buzzed off for a weekend break? Don't let her in and get a start on your next book, you deserve the rest while there is a bit of quiet at home. As Catowen so precisely put it, the housework will still be there tomorrow. Why do today what can be put off until tomorrow???

Twink - it had occurred to me that maybe my thyroid is playing up somehow. If it's hereditary then it's quite like as both my mother and her sister had their's removed some years ago, but when they were younger than I am now. It would make a lot of sense as it can affect a person's mood too. If it is my thyroid I would be thankful if they could make it hyper for a while so that I can burn off a few Michelin Man style tyres.:o

Moggins/manicdays - I'm a right nosey mare, but what party are you talking about...?? Sounds like something exciting happened and I know nothing (as usual).

    Hiya Shez!

Maybe you could get your kids to do your Davina workout with you to help burn their energy?

Snowy the less said about that party the better!

Lets just say that there were nearly 30 women getting drunk in someones house in London and staying overnight! When we ran out of wine and champagne we nipped to the Iceland over the road and restocked.

Moggins ended up smoking something she shouldn't (never before and never again), fell asleep, got put to bed and ended up losing 3 hours of a really good party :D

Manicdays spent the next morning taking the mick!! Apparently I was on great form and really funny but I don't remember any of it :D
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

That a girl Moggins! Think you need a bit of practice at this partying lark. When's the next one?
