Oh right ... you know, I should spend more time in Eltham than I do! My company owns a leisure centre in New Eltham and if I so desired, I could join a gym for less than £5 a month out of my salary! The thing is I know I'd never go, so rather than being a saving of £50 on a private gym membership, it's still a waste of £5
I used to go to Fitness First until I realised I preferred swimming (the London branches of FF don't have pools) ... now I just use the free day/week offers from the posh Central London gymsMy favourites are Cannons at Cannon Street (they have a deal about twice a year in the Times) and the Aldwych branch of LA Fitness
I'm up the Blackfen end of Welling at the moment, but can't wait to move to Camberwell!Operation Get in Shape

Yes I can see why RZL, for a relatively short mileage gain, the time saving is really worthwhile!! I grew up at Clapham, couldn't afford a dog-kennel there when I got married!! Now I wouldn't be able to afford a flea kennel!! A really upmarket, happening part of London!!:rotfl: When I think that as a child my playground was the National Gallery etc etc!! I didn't know I was born did I?:DYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Goodmorning everybody
,
Lovely cool sunny day here.WM on as I type, coffee right next to me. DD is home today with some bug. She should have went to work and *shared* her germs around there instead of with me.
If I get sick, you lot will no doubt hear about it.
Bgn Rzl Oooooh sounds exciting. Wouldn't it be great if it all fell into place and you got that money for your appliances. We have a scheme over in Oz called first home buyers. It's a one off payment from the government to encourage first hb to buy. It's about $7000 now. A long time ago when we bought our first home it was next to nothing. They even have a first baby bonus which is $4000 now. Lots more single girls are having babies now just to get the money. Don't think it's achieved much really.
Churchmouse If that's the Oz film, dry your tears luv it's not true. They got in big trouble over that film as they made out it was all fact, but it's not. Think they had to go to court over it.
Kaz Doing yard work is very theraputic (sp). It's much better then putting your head under the covers. Your'e doing well.
Well plans for today are baking, washing the dogs, ironing, mowing the yard and anything else that crops up. Have a good sleep everyone. ByeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
I've always liked the Camberwell/Peckham area. I've lived in SE London ever since I decided to live in London (7 years ago) and on one occasion (5 years ago) I looked at a really nice bedsit in Peckham (which ended up being let to somebody else:( ) - I love it round there, it's so OS
Being a bus ride away from my office in London Bridge will transform my life, I'm sureOperation Get in Shape
