hi.. to everyone....well this is the first time i have posted on the daily os thread.....
well kids have gone with grandparents to butlins....they will be back on thursday evening....so over the next few days....i am going to be like a woman possessed....cleaning round the house....with no one to get under my feet except dog....and hubby when he comes home from work.....
so today its a blitz on the living room....clear ALL..... clutter.....clean the birds out.... dust wash skirtings etc....paint over the muddy marks on wall... where the dog has been rubbing... hand marks round the light switch etc.....
and then ...wash the carpet... which has not been done in years....cant afford new carpet,,,, had some tips from a earlier post ...so even if it takes tomorrow as well... give it 2 washes....it should come lovely and clean
    (fingers crossed)....

i really...really...REALLY.... got to thank this part of mse...the old style...as even though i have saved money.. on the insurance etc...i must admit....its the smaller every days savings on food shopping and the helpful menus...etc...
that has REALLy ..had a differance...up until now.. i have doing little bits from os..now i am really knuckling down....and going to budgets..menu planners etc....as my high voucher use has now ended....so now ...its get back to financial reality.....and try to make ends meet....

right so whre's my apron....my old knickers for dusters....oh...better put scarf on my head not to get paint in hair........

    Hi everyone!
Back at work today [and yes I am one of those people who do enjoy my job but this is the first one ever! There aren't many places who take you out for lunch once a month just to say thank you for your contribution are there!!] having had a lovely day off Friday catching up with a friend. Am off tomorrow aswell. [can't tell it's the school holidays can you!!] Am looking after my friend's son in the morning and then baking in the afternoon as it's a significant day for me as a Druid. Have already made ginger biccies in anticipation. Am planning a small celebration with a friend tomorrow evening.
Nothing so exciting planned for this evening. We need to reconcile July's accounts and I've got some paperwork to do. Will pop in to town on the way home to do a few odds and ends.
Tonight for tea I'm doing veggie spag bol and I'll also stew the goosegogs..shall have to now as I need the space in the freezer.

Afternoon all - not read the thread through as I've just noticed the time and I should really be getting on with fixing DD's new blind :o

Hope everyone is feeling okay :grouphug: to all.

Logged on this morning to a nice email from the National Lottery:D I signed up through Pigsback and decided to have a flutter - I won £10 :j:j That on top of the £15 I've made on ebay, plus more items to list - just need to type them up - and I'll be a happy bunny this month:D

DD is feeling much better this morning - alot of her spots have either faded or disappeared altogether. OH bought her a "Hama" set at the weekend from Argos (when he went to change the blind for the right sized one :o ) so she's quiet happily making coasters for everyone :rotfl:

I really need to get on. So I'm off. Normal service should resume shortly :rotfl::rotfl::wave:

    Afternoon all

Had a lovely mooch around town - the weather held of thankfully.

Got DD1 2 pairs of combats £3 each, a winter coat £10, a hooded top £3 a very lovely trendy top £2 and a new bikini £3....she was very happy (Thanks to her being a very skinny 10 year old she fits in age 7 stuff - but all the age 7 stuff is normally to short - fantastic to find stuff that fits, I don't need to get the elastic out or put tucks in anything!!)

We popped to the library and both DD's joined their summer reading scheme to become "secret reading agents" - they got stickers and code's to crack etc - will keep them quiet for a while.

Had mcdonalds for lunch as a treat - although none of us really enjoyed it and both girls said they'd rather just go home for lunch in future as mines so much nicer! bless.

Had the car insurance docs through today - I did it via quidco and got a fantastic promotion of £110 cash back - the policy was only £3 more expensive than the cheapest one we could find and it had a lower excess so Mr Pooky is very impressed. (he normally thinks these cashback sites are more effort than they're worth - I note he doesn't mind being treated to dinner when I get a payout though!)

I'm now off to save even more money and cut both DD's hair before watching a dvd with them

    Hi all,

Managed to do a proper morning routine today - usually I have to leave the DW full because I run out of time but I emptied it (and refilled it because DS and G/F decided to bake cookies after I went to bed) and also put a load of towels in the WM and swished and swiped the bathroom. Also walked to work and was here early - I think time must have stopped or something peculiar.:D

DS and G/F had major row last night (before the cookie making) and he set off to take her home but after an hour they returned a bit tearful but having sorted things out (they've been a couple for over 3 years). DS has been very grumpy this weekend, I think they've been having a few problems - I hope they've sorted it out now. Trouble is, he's an Eeyore personality so anything that goes wrong causes great gloom - I'm going to have to talk to him (PP any tips? don't think Haagen Dazs will do it for him).

It's funny because DD is the opposite - she's very much a Tigger, bouncy and eager and upbeat nearly all the time, sometimes I wish I could mix their personalities up a bit to lighten his gloom and calm her down a bit :p

Have to go shopping after work because DH went to the supermarket this weekend and came back without bread  I had to buy a roll for lunch today which I hate doing.

    Welcome to Ruby and cooltrikerchick!!!!

Nikki - my DD loves Hama beads, but they do get everywhere!!!!!

Shez - im still waiting for my hoover to arrive!!!!! They said it would be on the 31st, but couldnt tell me a time, so, of course we are waiting in all day, hope it gets here soon, my carpets desperatly need doing!!!!

Smashing blouse - glad you had a lovely time in Italy.

Churchmouse - i was the same last night, but luckily ive been feeling ok today, think its the excitement of the new hoover, goodness, that sounds really sad when the highlight of the day is a new cleaning implement!!!!!

Michelle - its easy to do too much, so take care, im sure OH will understand!!!!

Aril - why is the 1st August special? i know the summer and winter solcists (sp) are important, but cant think of one in August!!!

sorry if ive forgotton anyone, but hope you are all having good days.

Well, as you can guess, im still waiting for my new hoover, i do hate it when i have to stay in, it was raining first thing, so i didnt mind then, but then it cleared up, and the little one was dropping hints about going to the park, but had to explain that we couldnt go (showed her the wet grass, and she was ok about it). Told her that if its nice, we would def go tomorrow instead.
Trying to sort my fridge out as well today, its been freezing up at the back, so ive turned it off, to try and get rid of all the ice, and then some nice helpfull person on the diy board suggested leaving more of a gap to let the air circulate, so im going to try that.
Also want to make a spare rib sause, to marinade yesterdays left over chicken in, yum!!!!
Right, need to get the little one up, shes been asleep for ages!!!
    Have a good afternoon,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
