    Morning Guys

Slept well last night but have been bitten to death:mad:

WM is on and the DW will need to go on after breakfast. Toilet cleaned. House still generally clean and tidy from Friday.

Concentrating on my essay today, but want to have a good chat with DD and see if she is ok about everything. Theres alot of changes going on in her little life ATM and her attitude stinks sometimes-so think we need a little mother/daughter chinwag;)....I have some HagenDas in the freezer...so think we should be ok:D

OH has to post off a few Ebay parcels for me today and get 2 ready to be picked up hopefully tommorrow or Wednesday. Also have to arrange a time and date for a collection of an item someone bought from me.

    Breakie: Toast and fruit
Lunch: Baked Spud, cheese and salad
Dinner: Chicken pie, mash and veg

Got to go and get a drink. Have a great day all.
    Hugs

    PP

    Morning PP & everyone
Well done on the car PP - sounds like you got a great deal.

Off to work in a bit but stopped for a browse with my brekkie. Am I the only one that doesn't actually mind going to work? Not saying I'd keep doing it if I won the lottery but on the whole, I don't hate it & have a good laugh with the people I work with. I suppose I might be looking at it through the proverbial rose tinted ones at the moment because I only have 7 more get ups & then I'm off on a cycling holiday in Ireland for a week & a half.:j
I had a lovely weekend, a friends gig in the local pub on Friday night, a family meal out on Saturday evening - it's DS1 & DDs birthday's this week - & a friends birthday barbie yesterday. I feel well set up for another week.
The forecast for today is a bit grim but so far it's a glorious morning, lovely blu sky but not oppressively hot.
Hope everyone has a fabulous week & big hugs to those who don't.

    Good morning everyone,

Bad nights sleep here, dont know why, but couldnt get to sleep, and then when i finally did, kept waking up. Mind you, at the moment i feel ok, the cup of tea is helping!!!!
DS and DD are still in bed, and i just have one little one here today, so should be quite a nice relaxing day.
Have to stay home, as my new hoover is being delivered today (HURRAH) they are taking the old one away with them, not sure if they will let me know why it suddenly caught fire, but as long as this new one is safe, thats what matters!!!! So that will be my main job today - hoovering!!!!! Also want to do some work on my accounts today, im so far behind and have piles of receipts to write into my books, so will take ages, might have a go when little one is asleep.
Right, better go and get some toys ready for little one, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all

Overcast, windy and trying hard to rain here.....typical as I wanted to go out today......we're never happy with the weather are we.

Got to pop to the library, look for new trainers for DDs and want to have a general mooch in town as I've not been in for about 6 weeks. Whilst we were going that way and spending the bus fare, I was hoping to stop at the park for the rest of the day with a picnic, doesn't look like it's a picnic sort of day though...hey ho.

Made a stomboli for tea last night (reciepe on the threaded index somewhere) and it was lovely - got enough mince left to make another one today to bung in the fridge to serve cold with salad.

No little one's today so will make the most of it and try and get some of my toys cleaned when we get back, will leave the box of play food and teaset until next week, one of the little girls I look after loves washing up - so I'll set her loose in the garden with a bowl of water and a cloth - she'll be in her element.

Cat - Got my books up to date last week - amazing how quickly it is to fall behind with them though, just had to pay my N.I and NCMA membership fees and insurance, oh and OFSTED reg..- another hefty chunk gone! (why do they always creep up on me?)

PP- Good luck with the Mother/Daughter chat, we've been going through the same here - we have a system now where DD1 can just say "I'm having a stroppy day" and we'll leave her to it, she normally sneaks out when DD2 has gone to bed and has a chat about what's bothering her - she's an eternal worrier, everything from the troubles in the east with all the bombings to her toe-nail hurting - it all just gets too much for her somedays.

Hope you all have a great day.

    Morning all!

    Just eating my breakfast.

    Work today!

Then dancing with the kids as soon as I've picked them up from the childminders.

We haven't had any rain here in southend for ages. We need rain!

Must empty the DW & put a load in the WM in a mo.

Just had to clean up DD's breakfast. Her elbow spilt it. Not her!!!!

I am comfortably in size 14 bottoms! Will never get in size 14 tops as I have been given great "assets" ;)

Oh well, see ya all later

    Gave a good day all

OK, this is my first entry on the OS daily thread but I thought if I wrote it down I may actually do most of it.....I'm off to have a shower in a minute and then out to my physio session via the garden centre, Asda and Argos to get the following:

Garden Centre: Blackfly spray (for the flowers in the front garden) and hormonal rooting powder for a huge bunch of sage and passion flower cuttings we were given yesterday

Argos: I'm going to treat myself to a Kenwood FP698 - I'm very, very excited!!!

Asda: Need to pick up a few bits and pieces to use with my new Kenwood. I was thinking of making coleslaw and pesto sauce to start with and then perhaps some pastry.

I also need to check on the natural yoghurt that I made last night and use some of that in the coleslaw and perhaps make some yoghurt cake. Oh, and I need to make something spectacular for tea to prove how fab the new Kenwood is as my husband is going to flip that there is yet another gadget in the kitchen.....

Once I'm home and have messed about with my new toy for a couple of hours I need to settle down and do at least 3/4 hours revision for an accountancy exam I have on Friday.

No special plans for this evening except feeding the neighbour's chickens at 9 and fitting in more revision. Did a HUGE clean of the house on Friday so no need to do much housework except chuck a load of washing on and water the plants at dusk.

Oh and on top of all this I'm actually officially working from home today so I need to fit in 7/8 hours of remote office management somewhere in the day!!!! I'm lucky as I have an assistant to look after the office for me and that as long as I do for the stuff I need to I can spread it over the day/evening.

OK, I better go for that shower now.....

    Hi Again

    Welcome Ruby Pudding:j

Just had my post delivered and had a free sample of the new savlon plasters and £12 in vouchers;)...so a good post this morning:D

OH has just done me a wicked bacon roll as the bacon needed using up and DD is in the bath...and i'll be getting in afterwards. Only a couple more weeks till the shower room gets installed and will be much easier to get in and out.

Whilst Im doing some of my essay this morning, DD & OH are going to open her up a new bank account with Barclays. She will get a debit card with this and means I can pay her pocket money directly too her account and she will be responsible for her money.

Got to go and get in bath, will catch up later.

    Morning all

Haven't been around a lot, been recovering from a rather nasty bug I must have caught in London when I was there last week...a combination of toothache, headache, sinusitis and a sore throat... not nice!

London was Very hot. Didn't have anything planned, just visits with relatives, but was almost too hot to do that. Was a releif to get back to Aberdeen into the cool winds!

Welcome Ruby Pudding! Good to have you here.

Good luck everyone with whatever you've got on today. I have to ring the council....not looking forward to that.

    Morning all

Not long been up I think I burnt myself out over the weekend doing the general home chores:confused:
Raining here today so no washing going in the line, seems strange have been able to peg washing out for weeks on end now.
Our neighbour nightmare still carry on, Saturday morning at 8am they decide to cut their hedge:mad: just when I wanted a small lie in, I think 8am is a bit early don't you? or am I being petty?
Yesterday I washed my OH van for him and on the way home he dropped me outside tesco while he waited to park in a disabled bay, a space came free but some bloke stood in the space and shouted to him as he was trying to park YOU CANT PARK IN HERE my oh said why? the man said its for disabled use only, my oh just carried on parking then the bloke came up to his window and started mouthing off being really nasty with this my OH called him a few choice names got out his van and started walking and oh said to the bloke, you feel a **** now dont you? and oh started shouting back at him about never judge a book by it's cover etc..... 3 people came up to my oh afterwards saying good on you mate for standing your ground. Don't you just hate people like that.
Right I just realised the time I must shake a leg
    Bye for now

PP- I still have these leaflets for you
