I am quite pleased with myself, just one day to go to the end of the month and apart from having to get an extra toasting loaf and some yeast have managed a five week month without having to do a top up shop......not that here is much left in the freezer/cupboard.........but I DID IT!!!!

Next month is just 4 weeks which means I should be able to cut down on what I spend.

I am going to give the butcher I found a try for the meat, so it will just be groceries from Tesco....fruit from the market as long as its not boiling hot, if it is then I am afraid Tesco will get a little more of my hard earned cash, cannot stand buses if its hot and the centre of the city is like a sauna in the sun.

Hi all! A little bit cooler today thank goodness!

P-P - the new car sounds as if it's ideal for you! Hope you won't have to wait long before it's ready, and that any hosp appointments this week will be less distressing than the last one. (((HUGS))

Scruffy - must be horrid having to go back into hospital - hope you make the speediest possible recovery. And (((HUGS))) regarding your Mum...

Kiwichick - what a shame to miss the christening - kids never time their ailments very well, do they?!

Tootles - Very well done with the budgeting! I can't seem to do as well as that but will keep trying!

Johanne - What a nuisance about the car! Things will sort out in the end, but so frustrating in the meantime! Good luck with the new job tomorrow.

Best wishes to all the OSers! Will have to go now, as I've got some new tablets from the doctor and they're making me fall asleep!

    Afternoon Guys

Thanks for all the lovely comments:D

Well.....we are now proud owners of a New Car:p....paid half today and the other can be paid on collection. Was feeling so sick beforehand...i thought I was going to throw up:eek: ....card went straight through without a call made and have all the paperwork here etc. The car probably wont be ready till end of September as OH wanted the electric sunroof:rolleyes: , but we got a fab deal and with the VAT back, haggling as well as the cashback, we have saved £8000;) :T ...so although we have had to spend money...I have fought for every pound:rotfl:

Supposed to be up Kings in the morning for iron infusion, but am going to change till thursday as I need to finish essay and spend some time with DD. She has been really horrible these past few days and think she is nervous/anxious about secondary school, but still no excuse to be rude...so want to have some time out with her to have a mother/daughter...scrap...i mean chat:D ;) Have another hospital visit on Tuesday locally which she will have to attend with us but shouldnt take too long.

Anyway, I have to go as my tummy is rumbling and need a drink.

    Hugs to all.

    PP

Hello again everyone. Just thought I would pop in and tell you about my day. Husband went off out for the day to Brands Hatch so I took my little boy over our local farm which has lots of different things for him to see and do. I have a cheap season ticket so it was prepaid. I took my parents who treated us to lunch and ice creams. A lovely day was had by all.

And there was a breeze, thank god!

Thanks Pink-winged, replied to your pm but thought others may think it rude if I don't reply here too.

Sorry to have given you more work moving my garden.:o

Hi, guys. Everyone seems to be having a good summer! Big Hugs to those who need them, and to everyone else!

We're now staying with a friend near Philladelphia. He's been so generous - drove us to Washington yesterday. Didn't see Tony and George, though. :rotfl: We walked loads, slept for 11 hours, nad are still exhausted. It's hot and humid, and set to be 44 by the middle of the week.......... The US has really amazed me. The people are really friendly, helpful, and chatty. I'd love to come back. This is a one-off holiday, though. It'll be back to OS camping and walking in the UK next year.

Moggins, how cute of your DD. Bet she loved the namecheck!

Needmoney, your garden looks lovely. Nice and relaxing place to sit.

PP - new car. Enjoy it! Best of luck at the hospital.

Got to go, speak soon, Penny. x
