Hiya everyone
I still don't have enough hours in the day, but what's new :rotfl:
(((hugs)) to those who need them, especially scruffy.
PP - fab about the car, I hope you manage to get some great days out in it.
Yesterday was meant to be an easy day. Mr TM had gone to the military tattoo at the M.E.N with his cadets and wasn't due home till after 11pm. Him and DS1 were off at 5am this morning to visit MIL in Ireland, so I thought I could spend the day with the boys and pack DS1's stuff after he had gone to bed.
Then neighbour appeared asking to use my oven to make her meringues in, so had to put off going out until I could switch oven off. Then a friend called offering me tickets to the tattoo at the MEN :j So we had a rush around town doing what was needed then home to pack the case, have tea and set off to Manchester. Had a great night out (managed to smuggle my own drinks and chocs in), saw lots of hunky military types marching around  and didn't get home until 11.30 ourselves. Poor DS1 was "badly tired" as he called it when he was woken in the early hours
I couldn't really sleep after that so watched tv, drank tea and generally put the world to rights until DS2 came in.
So, today I have stripped and washed all the beddng (although it's not a great drying day) I've vac'd downstairs and will dust later. My bedroom needs a good sort out and clean later too. I've also put my new cordless keyboard and mouse on the PC and put my huge whiteboard up on the wall (Ok, it's a tad crooked but I was on my own and no spirit level and I do have astigmatism)
So, decided to have a sit down with a glass of wine whilst my celeriac and sweet potato soup defrosts ...... but it had corked  So, it's a stubby I found at the back of the fridge, for me!
Ok, DS2 is demanding food now so best sort him out (he's managed to have a PJ day all day, little imp!) Then it's a bath and early night for him ..... whoops, best put his clean bedding on soonish
Have a good evening everyone

PP that was a lot of money you saved there
Penpen - it sounds like you are really enjoying yourself, sometimes I wish I wasn't so afraid of flying.
I've had a very successful day. The house (all apart from my bedroom) is spotless. Hoovered, mopped and dusted everywhere and lots of tidying up done. second load of washing is doing now and DH and I are fed and he has gone to work, DD is eating her tea (late because she had a late lunch) and I just have to bath her and put her to bed.
We shopped till we dropped at Matalan and managed to spend £272.00!! I have loads of lovely new t-shirts and DH has a complete new wardrobe, including a new washable suit and posh shirt to go with it. We also bought a summer weight duvet as we didn't have one and 6 more DVD's including Nanny McPhee. DH's face as the total was going up was a picture but as I reminded him it's not something we do every day and his clothes were starting to look very shabby. He's been working really hard with lots of overtime recently and he deserves to have new stuff now and again.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hope all goes well for you Scruffy.

Have people got a hosepipe ban then. We havent and we live on South Coast. I remember we had one onece - back in 1989!! Poor you lot although the grass round here is pretty yella!
Have a good week every one x:beer:All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0 -
Thames Water have a hosepipe ban, and MIL in Dover has one too - i think their supplier is Southern Water. Folk in Thames area aren't too impressed as Thames Water loses so much water through leaks that if all the leaky pipes were fixed we wouldn't need the hosepipe ban (according to the Evening Standard anyway.)0
