Got a lemon delicious in the oven & will do the roast veg soon. Can you tell I"m hungry atm :D The final of BB is on tonight. I haven't followed it all the time but I will flick on it from time to time tonight to see who wins.

Ruby Did you make the yoghurt yourself? I'm going to give it a try this week. Never made it before but thought I'd give it a go. How did u do it?

PP Those talks with DD keep going and going. :D Good luck.

Use UHT milk. You can use either full fat milk or semi or skimmed, it depends on your preference. The milk needs to be at around 100 degrees, you can buy a yoghurt thermometer but you can get by with sticking your finger in the milk, it should be on the hot side of warm, hard to describe but slightly uncomfortable I'd say. 2 mins on full in microwave is ideal

You need to keep the milk at this temperature for around 6 hours, the easiest way without a machine is in a vacuum flask, the sort with a wide mouth

All you needed is take 2 teaspoons of natural live yogurt, 2 teaspoons dried milk powder, mix it with the amount of milk that your flask or bowl will hold (I pint is a manageable amount) and put it in the flask for around 6 hours. When it comes out you can either chill it and serve as it is or strain it to get a yoghurt that is similar to greek yogurt, you need a sieve and a piece of muslin to line it. Keep a couple of tablespoons to make the next batch but use a new starter every 6 batches or so. I tend to freeze any live yoghurt I actually buy in ice cube trays and use a couple of cubes (defrosted) when needed.

I haven't bought yoghurt (except for the original starter pot) for 5/6 months now - it's too easy to make my own! :D:D

Feeling flumped today. Woke up a couple of times last night...probably due to bean's activities. All I want to do right now is go straight back to bed. Ain't going to happen though.

Made a jam roley poley last night and it was lovely. Had some left over pastry in the freezer so decided to use it up. Got snubbed by one of the teenagers though because she said when she tried to make one it was horrid....so she assumed that mine would be as well. Hrumph. A few days ago I also made a chocolate cake for OH and that got a thumbs up reception as well.

Tea tonight should be roast chicken....if its defrosted. If it hasn't then OH will end up improvising.

    Morning all :D

    PP, what is biting you?

I'm supposed to be on my way to work but all I've done is eat breakfast and put the washing out. I'm sat here in my dressing gown, drinking hot choccy :o:D

Haven't planned much for today yet, bit of vacuuming later and clean out the animals. Miss troo has been grounded for last 3 days but I've just given her her freedom back so she's getting ready to go out. Mr and master troo are both out at work so I'll enjoy the peace and quiet, maybe watch a dvd when I get in from work. I have to take some photos of my new cards to list on ebid, that'll take about 5 minutes.

    Morning all.

It's bright and sunny and cool here, I hope it stays that way. The house is lovely and tidy. I have a pile of jeans to go in the tumble dryer and 2 loads to go out on the lines. That's one advantage of a 110 foot garden, 2 washing lines :D

Hopefully DH will be home from work soon, he did a sleep in last night so I am hoping he won't be too tired (he doesn't sleep well in a strange bed) and he can look after DD for me while I pop into town, I have two cheques to bank and I really need a couple of pairs of trousers.

Frittata for tea as I have a pile of eggs to use up.
