Hi all,
Been into town today and bought a lovely watch with the money that my nan gave me for my birthday.
She is deterioating (sp) daily now and is on morphine. I bought her a small teddy for her birthday and she mouthed lovely.
She was in a lot of pain. I am hoping it will be sooner now rather than later.
Oh well off for my pizza to cheer myself up.0 -
Evening All
OH said thanks to all the well wishers!
Had a nice today. DD went shopping with mates and OH & I went for a picnic (chicken/salad rolls, flask and cake) then went to couple of shops. OH bought 5 DVD's he's wanted for while for £12:D, had to take some jeans back to Next and "accidently" spent another £60 in there:eek:  .....but OH bought 3 pairs of jeans, I got another 3 pairsDD a pair, and between us (and a couple for DD) we got 8 tops, so got some great bargains and a brilliant winter roll neck jumper for £2;) A pair of jeans need to go back (the dearest ones at £9) and theres a top I bought which is a maternity shirt (lovely but not preggers:rotfl: ) which was tagged at £30 and I paid £3, but that should go on Ebay for about £8-so will do that!
On way home we stopped at Waitrose to see if they took vouchers/coupons...and they do...without any problems! We did 2 baskets of stuff we needed for the next week and a couple of bits frozen and 1 basket totalled £12 and after coupons paid £7.75, then second basket was £14 and after coupons paid £9.50-so saved £8.75:D...very pleased and excellent quality food too;) Weeks shopping £16.50. OH nipped to the marker where they were basically giving away the fruit and veg and salad items so in total probably did around £19. Waitrose isnt as expensive as I remember but when i used to shop their weekly, I used to bung everything in the trolley without thinking of cost etc..shameful:p
Treated ourselves to 2 lovely pieces of cod from the fish counter, so we are having cod, new potatoes, parsley sauce and veg for dinner. DD is at her friends for tea.
Will probably have tea then put a film on and eat the bar of chocolate we bought...reduced of course!
Hugs all

Good afternoon everyone,
We have had a lovely day out on the moors, took a bottle of wine (only one between 3 of us as we were driving) and a lovely picnic, and spent a good 4 - 5 hours chatting and playing rounders with the children!!!! Came home, and my house didnt look as untidy as i thought it was, although it definatly needs the hoover whipped round, but will do that later.
Aussie - the chef on Saturday kitchen this morning was Bill Granger, he made chicken with lemon and honey, it looked really easy to make and delicious!!!!
Right, off to do something, not sure what yet tho!!!!
Have a lovely evening,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Evening everyone
PP - I see the House of Pinchers has struck again. Fab bargains
Well, I got my backside into gear today. 5th load of washing is on the line with another lot waiting to be washed once I've put the boys clothes from today in. I've cleaned mine and DS2's bedroom, hoovered the whole house, taken the boys' winter duvets and some pillows to the launderette, been to the market for meat and fruit/veg, went to the asian C&C to replenish some spices, took DS2 for a walk, had a BBQ and have just collapsed with a glass of white! And even though I've eaten, the wine has gone straight to my ...well, arms actually :rotfl:
Want to clean the bathroom after the boys have had a bath (no point before) and need to sort through the 4 baskets of washing currently adorning my bed. I may just leave the ironing till tomorrow - I'll see if I still have any oomph left later. Which has reminded me (dunno why) but I need to vinegar and bicarb the shower plughole in a bit cos it was slow draining this morning.
Right, best get these boys ready for their bath, although DS1 has escaped to his friend's houseI could always leave it a while longer........ (pours another glass of wine....)
Have a good night....

Ticlemouse you're the cleaning tornado!! I was sooo impressed that you ironed everything!! I'm sure there are bits in my ironing baskets (the plural is not accidental!!:rotfl: ) that have been "returned" so often they've been in there for months!! Good idea, they now need to be freshened-up before being ironed!! Here you go boys, your new home, the washing basket!!:D

Happy birthday Mr PP

((((smashing blouse))))
BRzl - did look for you, honest.... but then DH came in, said "what's that racket?" and changed channels........
moggins - glad to hear the good news about Chloe
DS was in the Sport Relief mile thingy today, so we were off to sunny Maldon-on-the-mud, our nearest venue. He quite enjoyed it, I think! Tried to persuade me to join him, but running is not really my forte! I'm much better at standing holding the bags, taking photos & lending moral support! Anyway, he took less than 10 minutes (not sure how much less) - up to the end of the prom, round the lake & back to the start. He was very pleased to get his matching red sock, and has raised nearly £100.
Afterwards he said he was pleased to get all his difficult things out the way in just 2 days: piano exam yesterday & "fun" run today!0
