    Morning all

Woke up feeling blah - not ill as such, just blah :rotfl: Kept waking up in the night in a cold sweat. So I'll work from home today a bit. Washer's on, just need to vacuum and do a bit of ironing. I had a letter from NatWest, my new account is open so I can get on with writing a letter to Co-op to reclaim charges :j I'll have to gradually switch SOs and DDs between accounts, last time we changed it took Mr troo's bosses 3 months to get around to putting his wages in the right account

    Hope everyone's OK :)

morning all. Hugs to all that need it. Thanks for the welcome yesterday. Am being naughty and am logged on here at work. Used up my veggie box contents last night and did a mass cook-Aloo Gobi, Saag Aloo and Spinach and Feta parcels.

Penelope Penguin-my rodent is my late lamented Guinea Pig, Bert. He went to the hutch in the sky a few years back. Fortunately, the BF's daughter has pet guinea pigs so i can cuddle them .

right back to think about what to teach the students next term :D.

    have a good day

Morning Manicdays, PPincher, Ageandjo, Queenie, Cha97Michelle,Twink, Catowen, Snowy, Moggins((HUGS)),Jan 59, Nicki, Culpepper, Churchmouse, Chipps, Pooky and Rchddap1 - and especially anyone who is posting while I type this!
I'll post this quick, and then go back to read the postings as I'm hoping to catch a quick bit of advice before you all go aand get on with other things!!
Ham hock cooked in S/C last night - want to make into pea + ham soup, but recipies on here don't really say how much to put in. I've bought 1kg of peas that can be quick soaked - [STRIKE]how much should I use??? [/STRIKE] (back again 10 :58 - talking to myself is a sign of insanity, wonder if posting to self is too.....) now soaking 500gm and it now looks like far too much.

Ok - back again after reading posts..

Cha97Michelle - don't worry that your 'to do' list isn't getting shorter - the beauty is, it isn't getting longer!Maybe you ought to read back through your posts on the F/L challenge and see just how much you've got done. I'm totally amazed by how much you've achieved - and that's before I consider all the school work you've done besides!

Snowy - tackling the paper mountain still counts as F/L surely? You gotta clear the clutter before you can clean!;)
Moggins - let me at him! 10_9_137.gif

Oooo, Pooky, your day sounds lovely. That's what I miss about W*** - knowing I deserve some down time. Instead I seem to spend my day on here looking for motivation to tackle the house! Still, college for me in September - and thanks to Moggins I should be able to keep up with the H/W at the same time!
Loubee - that meal sounds ab fab! Don't suppose you fancy a trip to Wales to cook tonights tea? ;D

Just popped back for 10 minutes, honestly!!

Lucie did you get your tickets yesterday/early today?

Kaz, hope you get an answer, I love pea and ham soup!! Sometimes treat myself to Covent Garden one when Sainsbury have it on offer! Only one of theirs I like. Often make lentil soup with bacon stock, never done pea and ham though.

No, my OH is fussy about where he wants to sit & they seem to be doing it section by section, ie filling up the sides then the ends; so we're just going to have to keep trying today. It all depends how quickly they sell I suppose.

Morning all ... I have made a resolution ... From now on my MSE use on work days will be limited to once in the morning, once at lunchtime and once in the evening, as I need to focus a bit more on my work (both office work and housework!) ... Let's see ho long it lasts, eh? :p ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY SMASHING BLOUSE ... All of you who were talking about Rome made me very jealous, I love the place, mind you, TBH I wouldn't go at this time of year (I went in March 2005 and the temperature was just perfect) ... Moggins ((hugs)) on the mammogram, hope all is well -but as for "the bigger they are the dafter they seem to be" - were you talking about dogs or men? :rotfl: ... I was in bed around 11:30pm which is early by my standards, and had a lovely night's sleep ... Woke at 7 and was quite productive before work - put a load of washing on the line and another in the machine (on timeswitch so it doesn't stay on standby all day - I figured if it's done by the time I get home it might evn dry on the line by bedtime) and did last night's washing up ... Had a yummy curry last night, just a sauce out of a jar (Tesco Finest Lime Masala, reduced to clear) and am having the leftovers for today's lunch ... Queenie, in answer to your comment yesterday, I don't have a recipe for quail I'm afraid, as I ate it during a meal out for my birthday ... AussieLass I was PMSL at the dog/superglue story :D ... PP, I hope your OH is feeling better soon ... Am going to make a rocket and lemon risotto this evening (from the recipe on the back of the Sainsburys arborio rice) as I have several lemons which need using up and 2 bags of very reasonably priced rocket from Lidl ... Will be eating lots of yummy tricolore salads in the next couple of weeks as I decided to stock up on Lidl mozzarella while it's on special offer for 28p! ... Might see if I can be up super-early tomorrow as I had a note through the door yesterday that I have to go and pick up a postal item with insufficient postage ... If not it will have to be Saturday ... Anyway I shall stop rambling now and will be back later ... Rzl  xx
