Hi Smashing Blouse (((hugs)))- I hope you have a nice day tomorrow, and that your nan enjoys hers on Saturday.

Twink - I've got some mushy peas in the freezer (BBE 2004!!!!) Do you think they'd be ok in the soup??? Or maybe I'd be best finishing it tomorrow after going to the shops? Had a look online and it seems that the green ones (lentils) seem to hold their shape well, so not best for soup.

I've put the hock in the S/C and it's half covered with water (cold) - is this right??? Sorry to be a pain, but it's my first time!

    Hi all

    PPQuiche looks lovely.
NikkiHope you manage to think of ways of sorting your OH finances out.
Moggins:j way to go on the smoking and got fingers crossed for good news from hospital.

I've had a good day today, w**k went well. I'm being put forward for supervisor but I've got to learn how to do the job of kitchen staff first so that I'm able to over see all the shop. So have spent the day up to my elbows in flour breading chicken.

    Sweet dreams all

    Goodmorn/evening all,

This web site is sooooo slow atm. I have thanked quite a few people but it doesn't seem to be working. Took ages to load this page. Patience is a virtue but this is ridiculous. :D Had a great nights sleep and feel bright eyed and bushy tailed. WM is on & I will have a tidy up and put *up* session as with DGS here, he goes for all the things out of bounds. It's easier with short visits to put out of reach. I leave in around 2 hrs.

Moggins I hope the results come back that all is clear. I know it's hard not to worry. I had to go for a mamogram & ultrasound 2 years ago, same results as you but they were cysts. Let us know won't you.

VickyA We spent a week in Rome. We loved old Rome but wasn't impressed with the current one. I would love to go again though. It was mainly because it was our first taste of a big city like that. The filth, beggers, rip offs got to us but loved the sights. By the end of the week we were getting use to it. So we would be better prepared next time.

PP The quiche was gone. You must have ate it all. 4_9_2.gif

Troo Our pets give us such frights don't they. When we were first married we had a samoyed. We took him in as he was unwanted. Anyway me & DH were going for a swim. During the week I had to take him (dog) to the vet :D as he had a weepy eye. I placed the eye cream on top of the fridge. Just before we went, I decided to put some cream in his eyes which I did. I couldnt work out why he was rubbing his eyes frantically.

DH came running out, he had put some super glue up on the fridge (same tube) and I had used that. I had glued his eyelids shut. OMG. He raced to the phone and rang up the vet & he kept saying *My wife has just glued our dogs eyed together with super glue*. The vet kept saying *She did what?*. Anyway it all ended happily ever after as the vet got them open & they did heal with no damage done. :D DH loves to tell that story. I felt sooooo bad. I cried heaps but can now laugh about it. :rotfl:

Better make a move. ((((((hugs))))) to those who need it & sleep well. Byeeeeeeee

AussieLass, I love the way you're just getting up & we haven't been to bed yet! The tickets for the rugby go on sale at 9am (your time) this morning, so I'm waiting up to buy them on line. How sad am I? :D

Tiptoes - I'm the "financial wizz" in our relationship so I'm sure I'll manage to work something out.

I think I have a solution but it put the mockers on my saving/spending plans for Christmas  Ran a couple of ideas past him and he seems to be okay with them. Infact I said "write yourself a cheque from your X account to your Y for all but 1p of your balance since you don't use your X account and move all but 2p of your balance from your savings with Z to Y" to which he replied "I have money in X and Z?"  Okay so the total of both accounts comes to about £20 but it's £20 more into his Y account and less interest charged. He's also confirmed with his sister that we'll be going up there for her birthday BBQ. I was going to say something there and then but wasn't about to have an arguement with him while he was on the phone to his sister

Spent most of today, okay this afternoon & about 2 hours tonight :p , photographing stuff for ebay ready to list tomorrow. 24 items, mostly 99p items, but I've put a few things on for more money (like a JML juicer that is now discontinued for £4.99 start price, £20 BIN ;)) If everything sold at the auction price, even for the minimum, that would come to about £30 plus postage money so I could transfer all my paypal money back over. Doubt it will happen though as its hit the summer slump

Right, I need to get on with things and get to bed. I want to bless the house tomorrow right through and I need to go and buy bread & milk as well as I've used my "emergency" loaf without realising. I was supposed to bake some bread today and forgot so OH is not going to be too thrilled when he sees his lunch tomorrow and a lack of sandwiches when he usually has 3 :o Infact I need to go make the lunches.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Quick post as I"m flying out the door. Had to come online to pay rent. Thought I"d better do it now in case I forget. PP your photo's working now. Just discovered DD is downloading on my computer, hence the going slow. Looks lovely btw. He's coming along very well in the cooking dept. Must be the good training hes' getting. ;)

Lucie- Good luck witht the tickets. Hope they're not like the Robbie Williams tickets. They were all sold out within 1/2 hr.

    Morning all

Haven't been on for a few days cos I thought the site was down, I couldn't get on. Anyway have defragged my pc & done all manner of file clearing & HERE I AM!

I am quite fed up actually. Its a small problem compared to a lot of you I know. But I'm supposed to see a-ha at DockRocks next wednesday. Naturally DH now has a meeting at 10am on Thurs in Teeside meaning he has to travel up the day before. Arrgghh, he only bought be the ticket for mothers day, grrrr.

I have been awake most of the night. Feeling sorry for myself. But I never go out, plan to do anything.

I suppose a small consolation is that I got a ticket to see a-ha at Guilfest on Saturday off e-bay.

I haven't done anything yet this morning.

Need to clean oven as put cleaner on before I went to bed last night. Need to empty DW & put bedding in WM. Stacks more to do today as well.

Also seeing another childminder thisa morning.

    Hope everyone is well
