I don't usually post here, but I thought it was the best place to say - well, I have finally gone and done it.
Yes, thats right - I have ordered a Panasonic SD253!
I had a IIRC Russell Hobbs, that gave up the ghost a year ago. Then my mum gave me her one that she never uses - but you can't make bread in it - well, you can, but it invariably collapses, so you have to make dough and back it in the oven. OK if you are at home a lot, but I'm not. So when my OH wasted some money I thought stuff you - I'm gonna spend some as well!
Can't wait till it comes - have loads of seeds in the house (pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, linseed) and strong flour that needs to be used up... I'm excited already - I just hope it lives up to the hype...0 -

My gerbils escaped once (had about 11 - bought two boys... long story)
As I was having some work done there was a gap under the fire. Tried alsorts to get them out - including trying to suck up with a vax (love animals but was desperate!) Now I have a dog - much less hassle!

Ooo, trow - you are going to be sooo impressed!
I took the plunge after much umming and erring - and have not regreted it once! It's been on virtually every day and makes fab bread - much nicer than even fresh bake instore. There's also a great reipie on here for banana loaf for the panni, and the recipie in the book for 'breakfast loaf' is lovely too.January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)

Evening!
Nice to see so many people chatting:D Thought I would take a pic of OH's quiche he made earlier with stuff that needed using from the fridge. Eggs, bacon, mushrooms, onion and peas;) Sounds horrible, but I have tasted and is delish, also popped some cheddar on the top.
Thats our lunch sorted for the next couple of days and any left will go in the freezer.
OH is currently taking pictures for items needing to be listed on Ebay, so Id best go supervise:eek:
See Ya tomorrow.

Oh, pp that looks so delish!! How on earth can you eek it out to last a couple of lunches - it'd be gone in one sitting here!
Was about to cook ham hock in S/C and soak peas ready to make ham'n'pea soup tomorrow - but discovered I have green lentils - not dried peas. I'm assuming they're not the same??? Would they be a good substitute, and if so how would I use?
Hope someone can help - but maybe I should start a new thread?January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)

Last year I was in Florence for 4 weeks, working in a primary school there. The amount of lovely stationery was incredible!
We are off to Tuscany on the 28th July, my brother is getting married there,
Just wanted to say thanks again for all your support with regards my nan. The Macmillan Nurse is visiting her tomorrow and the nurses have been great, they are applying for funding to help. I think it will have to be a care home or hospice for her. To be honest I don't think it will be long. She is very tired and was very down today. However she did hand me a birthday card and told me there was £20 in there for me for tomorrow. Her birthday is saturday, so I am taking a small bottle of champagne in for her, the nurses said she could have a glass.0
