We're going to Rome and then Tuscany. I can't wait!

VickyA wrote:I LOVE foreign stationery.
Me too; it's just....nicer. When I was 11 my Mum went to Japan & brought me back (amongst other things!) some teeny primary coloured bulldog clips. They're so cute I've still got them - 21 years later!! My favourite thing at the minute are pencils with replaceable leads - the type where when one runs out you put it back in the top & a fresh new lead pops out of the bottom.
STOP STOP STOP
Busy day today, but I did get a free lunch out of it
It was left over beef stifado for me for dinner, OH is at work so no "proper" cooking required.
WM is on, DW needs emptying & refilling, kitchen floor could do with a sweep & I have planned to do a load of ironing whilst the F word is on later.

Lol, I bet they hide the stationery catalogue from you in the school! I worked (briefly) in the office of a school once - boy did I love the county supplies brochure!!!
Rome is fantastic - because it was a heatwave when we went we got to paddle in the fontana de trevi (sp?) Until mr police man came along that is....
I would so love to go back there! Do choose 'secure' handbags tho'. Don't want to be negative - but it's better to be forewarned. My mum had hers pinched by a young lad - but my mother being quick chased him into the bushes and got it backNot recomended mind!!! (nor is crossing my mum!!!) Like I say, despite that I would go back there if I could. You'll have a really lovely time there... hope you 'newlyweds' get to enjoy some of the 'local' sites as well as that of the hotel room .....

Queenie - whats you secret to getting up and getting so much done so early in the morning?.....
As for the 'so much done' ... truly, feeding/watering/quick clean of the birds plus one wash load aren't major tasks!! (Might have been if I'd hand washed that wash load:laugh: ) If you think about it, that is all I had accomplished after being up for nearly 2hrs so in fact, not a lot at all.
Early morning is a beautiful time of the day for getting on - it's quieter, no kiddly interuptions - bliss!
 S'pose I'd best not mention that I then went on to give the master bedroom a thorough going over, washed the bedlinens, dried and ironed them and are now back on the beds? Or about the carrot cake I made in the BM? Or the new batch of HM yogurt? Or the phone calls I've made (nice and cheaply too with 1899)? Or, the game of basketball I played with the lads?
The real trick to getting it all done ... is not to spend too much time on the computer:rotfl: :rotfl:
Bargain_ R - oooh, scrummy!!! Not talk to you??? PAH! I'd like the recipe!!!
D12yo's team won their sports day today :j :j He is well impressed
Dinner tonight ended up as new potatoes, sprouting seed salad with pilchards. Oh and some carrot cake for dessert:whistle:
Pukka Pads are available in Staples and Tesco's ... I can't admit to how I know this or I might let slip my stationery addiction :silenced:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I went there with my parents a few years ago. It was my dad that nearly got his pocket pinched because he was the only one that wasn't watching his money all the time :rolleyes:Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
All those horrible teenagers finally went out
so I thought I'd sit in front of the TV with a cuppa. Walked into the room, noticed the wheel on the hamster cage was missing (rotastack type cage so the wheel sticks out the front) and NO HAMSTER  I had to move all the furniture, couldn't find him, mr troo came home to find me in a weird postion trying to peer inside the sofa :rotfl: He found him under a cabinet, every time I moved it he must have moved with it, the sneaky little sod
Then Mr troo said 'oh' and went quiet.............he'd taken the wheel off last night to clean the sawdust out of it (Taz likes to fill it with bedding then run in it lol) and forgot to put it back on
On the plus side - the room was FLYed again :TBulletproof0 -
