Just popped on to say a quick "Hello"! (Just remembered that in the "Grumpy Old Women" book it says that only middle-aged women "pop". Good thing I'm a middle-aged woman then!:D )
P-P - Glad they let you out of hosp and that your blood count has gone up! That's excellent news. Let's hope it won't be long before you start to actually feel better for it.
Nicki - Hooray, water at last!:j
Moggins - congrats on stopping smoking, I know it's hard, will be thinking of you!
Bargain Rzl - glad you had a lovely evening and I hope Queenie and Penelope Penguin won't send you to Coventry!:D
Queenie and PenPen - I do think your quails sound lovely. I've got a photo of DD2 when she was two, looking at a quail in a run at Muenster Zoo - it kept running to and fro, and she kept running after it calling "Hello! 'Lo!" She was really disappointed that it wouldn't come over so she could talk to it. Blimey, just realised that was 26 years ago...
BTW PenPen, we are having chicken curry tonight with left-over chicken, otherwise it would have been....cottage pie!:D
Kaz - I love the smileys, but I think my current fave has to be the one that's washing the Y-fronts:D
Oh well, better crack on. Going to wash bedding while it's still sunny!
Hope you all have a good rest of the day and evening!

Thanks everyone for the best wishes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and have been told I'll get my results within 3 weeks but unfortunately I am sort of expecting a call within a couple of days. I had a very good view of the plates as she was putting them up and in amongst lots of lovely clear grey there is a glowing white bit as big as my thumb right in the middle. I've had a feeling something wasn't right for the last couple of months but I won't go getting pesimistic until I have too.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Dont mean to show off or anything but my Pukka pad has arrived (with other stationary I ordered - as Nelski says 1 of the plus of being self employed)
I cant wait to start sorting it.
Shez - my one is an A4 sized notebook with platic dividers in it which also have little pockets - its called a project book. Think I will use mine as a sort of household manual and it will def help with the menu-planning so thanks again Cha97michelle.!0 -
(((((moggins)))))
I won't begin to go to don't worry, you're human not superwoman.
I will say it could be any number of things, and we'll all have everything crossed that it's nothing worth worrying about!
Take care love CM xxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Afternoon Guys
Well...Ive been a very naughty girl:o OH and I went out for a drive and ended up in Dartfords new shopping outlet thingy. There is a Next Warehouse there and everything was silly cheap prices. We bought 4 winter coats (2 for me:rolleyes: , 1 for DD and 1 for OH), trainers, shoes, loads of tops, 7 pairs of jeans/trousers (all 3 of us) and a couple of other bits for £102.00:eek:  ....just added it all up and was over £700 worth though, plus we all have a new winter coat each (well, I now have 2). DD & I are now the same size, so she is nicking my trousers and has bigger feet than me and shes 11!! I text BargainRzl to let her know my find and think she will be over there pretty soon:p Then bought a potato ricer from Matalan for £4:D OH took me to lunch at some greasy spoon which actually had a wheelchair table;)....but he was buttering me up, as on the way home he drove into the Citreon garage and had booked up a testdrive:mad:  He's after the new Picasso Diesel and must admit it was a nice drive, had AirCon and very comfy for me and the height was great etc...problem is-cheapest after all doscounts is 12k:eek:   I am looking into how we could claim the VAT back being disabled and this would bring costing down to about 10k. We have never bought a new car before and even in 3 years this will be worth quite abit and will only loose about 3k in wear and tear IYKWIM. Anyway no rash decisions being made here.
Electric bill came this morning and they had over estimated, so I called and gave new readings which bought bill down by a further £80:D
Anyway, I have to go and take a bath. Knackered but pleased I got out in the sunshine.
Hugs

Hi, guys! Had a looooooooooong day at work today, but now it's the weekend.
Kazonline, Taplady, you should be so lucky. DD was as tall as me at 12, but I am a shorthouse, and she takes after her dad. If I want to tell her off now, I have to stand on the stairs! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Has anyone else noticed that Taplady has been eaten by a sheep?
Rzl, you nearly didn't get thanks, for your quail comment.
Aussielass, that made me smile!
Hi, Shez, my chookie mate! :hello:
Loubee, welcome! :T Can you fill me in on your rodent, please? I'm just learning, and know that Aussie has a hamster, which don't live in Australia.
Thanks for the hints about smilies - I've had smilie central on e-mail for ages, but not noticed it on internet until now. However, when I try and insert (press ctrl v, is that right?) it doesn't insert, and I just get the file name. Is this a simple mistake, or do I need to go techie, and find out myself?
Have a good one!
Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Oh aussie lass - thank hun, I really needed that chuckle!
Shez - got the smileys from smiley central - with a bit of tweaking it's possible to get them on here. Let me know if you want the link. Some people say it's riddled with adware/spyware - but I love them so well worth it !
Puka pads - will come back with a link to those again in a mo. Some are just rulled notebooks, but some have fancy dividers.
On that note - went to Tesco to drool over said pads. Oh boy oh boy oh boy! They had A5 ones A4 ones, pink ones, blue ones and Hardback ones!!! Unfortunately had DS1 with me who kept rescuing them when they fell in my basket....
Ooo nicki - love ya bottle! I'd love one of those large whisky things too, but am making do with an over size grolsh bottle. WOn't take 10ps or anything over that tho'
Troo - that so sounds like what I've got to come. DS2 is in a band (age 12) and allready believes my only perpose in life is to clean up behind him. Not nasty - just thinks it's what I love!
Cha97michelle - hope all goes well at Dr's for you.
Great! Nearly got to the end and DS has upped the requests for use of the pc. Grr, will have to catch up with the rest later.
Hugs and well wishes to all who need,
Luvs ya all,

Just popped on here while Turbolister updates...again
Moggins - I'm sure everything is fine hun. ((moggins))
Been to pick DD up from school - it was her class trip today. They went to a local park this morning, back to school for lunch and then fun activities for the rest of the day. Only realised when I sat down here that I haven't check our home email all day and I was supposed to be going to a concert this afternoon at 2pm at the school and I forgotTheres a year 6 leavers show tomorrow at 7pm that I've been invited to but I won't be going to that either, not that late on in the day. Mind you, there is an event every day (some days 2 events  ) every school day now between now and the 21st  There is no way I am going to EVERY SINGLE ONE, I have a life and things to do.
OH has taken Tuesday off so he can come to the prize day for DD but she doesn't know yet so that will be a nice surprise. Will be reserving seats for that one (Governor perks) or going in straight from putting DD in as it says it starts at 10am
Will sort out the photos etc for the school website then if I haven't managed to remember before hand
DD has just been watching the work men now :rotfl: They had the dumper truck with the grabber again picking up some muck and filling in the holes right outside the house. Closely following behind (about 5 holes behind) are more workmen (some much better totty:o ) flattening all the in-fill, laying sand and then putting the paving slabs back with cement in the gaps
They're even sweeping the road/pavement as they clear up, bet they don't do it at home though :rotfl:Hopefully they should finish ours either today or tomorrow and it might just be worth my while cleaning my windows, brass and sweeping the front. OH will probably be happy to park outside our house as well.
Best get on with things as I have a pile of stuff for ebay I need to try and photograph with our webcam since Johannes borrowed our digital camera  Forgot I hadn't photographed somethings when I gave it to her so it's my own fault :rotfl:
Later :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

PP - are you not entitled to mobility? The reason why I ask, is that today at work I was talking to a girl whose 3 year old daughter was born with a rare chromosomal disorder, so rare in fact, there are no other documented cases in the world. She has been telling me that because of the rarity, and with no idea of what her daughters long term prognosis will be, she has had a huge battle trying to win mobility. However she has finally been awarded it, and said that they are now able to buy a specially adapted car as a result, big enough to incorporate her special walker, and to accomodate her adapted car seat. They have also been awarded funds to adapt their house to accomodate her as she grows, ie. downstairs bathroom, bedroom, stairlifts, adapted baths etc etc.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!
