Firstly Happy Birthday to Bargain Rzl.

Secondly I don't have to think about food today, as OH has already organised it. Isn't he good. He's going to be a god send once little bean puts in an appearance.

On that note I did wake up a couple of times last night for no obvious reason. So it must be bean's fault. Something I have to get use to.

I'm also realising at the moment how much things are going to change and how little security I really have at the moment. The consequence is that I'm wandering around in a bit of a daze. I can understand and agree with the reasons for our plans, but put what we want to do together with the prospect of being responsible for a little one and its a bit worrying. I know....relax and don't worry.

    Honestly I'm doing my best.

Happy Birthday Bargain Rzl. :bdaycake: and hello to everyone,

I'm on DH laptop atm. My computer has crashed three times in a row. Oh dear. Just giving it a rest before I try again later. Had a very productive day today and got everything done that I wanted. Off to see my sister tomorrow. She lives on the other side of Brisbane. We are meeting at a big shopping centre to have a cuppa. It's easily accessible to us. I will leave here around 7am, have one ferry trip, one bus trip. 2 train trips & finally get there around 10.30am.

The return journey won't be so bad as I'm going to hang around the city and wait for DH to finish work and make the return journey with him. Hope to find some big stationary store to wander in. ;) DGS arrives on Thursday. Will go and meet them off the train. Another journey. The joys of city living. It's taking a bit of getting use to. I was spoilt before. I could jump in my car and be at my destination in 5 mins or so.

Snowy Teach you to leave your g-strings around the place. :D
PP Hope you feel better after the infusion.

Well I better go and tweak the budget. You never know what sale's a girl can find in the city. ;) Talk later & have a nice day. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning.

    Have a fabulous birthday brzl

woke up with a few more beans this morning. It's lovely at this time of year to count the days down. Vicky - bet you are glad there is a week between the end of term and the wedding as it will be lovely to catch up on sleep, and then have a more relaxing run up to it.

PP - sorry you aren't feeling good again today. Just had a thought about your DD and the trip. Didn't you sign something at the new school saying that she wouldn't be taken out during term time? I was just curious as to if they'd let her go. Perhaps they couldn't say no to a disabled trip if it is the only time it runs

Woke up to a tidyish house as me and DH had a quick whip round last night. Cats have been in for a flying visit. I tried them on the ASDA adult tinned food instead of a felix or whiskas pouch, and it got wolfed down. They even left the crunchies that they usually love. What a result. I'll still give them some of the kitten food for the next couple of months as they are not a year old till the beginning of September, but then i'll see how it goes.

Post yesterday was an expensive tax bill due at the end of the month. Although we should then get a rebate paid back in January as DH is no longer self employed.

It should be a nice easy day for me today provided i don't end up doing a cover lesson. I have 4 free lessons, and teach one year 7 group. We will be doing posters on the dangers of electricity. Should be a nice laid back one. For some reason kids cannot be noisy while doing bubble writing and wielding a pencil. I will have to write a lesson plan for while i'm off tomorrow, but then i should have the day to mark/write reports/catch up. It also looks cool enough to not overheat.

Have a fab day. Keep your fingers crossed for me that the computer fairy forgot i had free lessons that i could use doing someone elses work. ;)

    Michelle, xx

forgot to say - aussielass, thanks for your concern about my tiredness. I'll have a lot of time to sleep in just 7 more get ups.

    Happy Birthday Rzl!

Off to w***, again today. My boss has kindly allowed me to take the school holidays off, but I need to get the hours in during July and September. I'm contracted to w*** 16 hours a week, so not too difficult to do, but means I'm run ragged, what with sports day, parents evening, concerts, party for a teacher who's leaving, etc, etc.

DS off to Manchester today, as his leavers trip - he's 11. The school wanted to do an overnight in London, but too many parents wouldn't let their little darlings stay over. They'll have a shock - the high school takes them off outward bound for 3 nights in October. He's going to Old Trafford, Pizza Express, then Kenzuke's Kingdom at the theatre. He's very excited, as he met the author (Michael Morpurgo) when we went to the Party at the Palace earlier this month. He says that as he won't be home until after 11pm, the school has said that he doesn't need to be in tomorrow until 10:30, so he can have a lie in. Pointed out, that's fine for him, but I need to pick him up after 11pm, and still have to be up at 6:30 to go to work!! :rotfl:

Must go, lots to do, hugs to all and have a great day!

    Penny. x

    Good morning everyone!

    Happy birthday Bargainrzl!
PP - hope you feel better later on & that hospital stuff goes well, glad the rest of the family had a good day yesterday, I remember going to Dreamland when I was a child, had a lovely time.

Well, we have sunshine here at the moment! The washing is in the WM so will go out shortly.
I need to take my mum to Stansted this morning, as she is off to visit her friend in Germany (they have been penfriends since about 1951 or thereabouts, when they were both at school)
Then I have some housework to get on with, as I felt really tired yesterday & had an awful headache, so only did what was absolutely essential for living! ie cooked dinner, loaded dishwasher, did washing & made bed.

Have a good day, all of you!

    Happy Birthday Rzl :bdaycake:

Beer & cake, what more could a girl need?!

Well, the house is a complete state, the washing basket full, so I really need to get organised today. I'm working from home today, after another of my mammoth trips to London yesterday, so should have plenty of time to squeeze in some real work in between the housework LOL.
Got £4 yesterday from Pinecone research, so may have a trip to Asda at lunchtime & buy myself something nice.

Have a lovely day all of you

Morning everybody ... Thanks for the birthday wishes :D ... I think I must be showing my age already at the grand old age of 28, cos at the weekend I suddenly realised I'd forgotten to make any plans for how to spend the evening today :o ... Am going to go out for a meal with best friend ... will probably go somewhere nice as my dad has given me a card with a cheque inside it :D ... Think I'm going to suggest either the Anchor and Hope (not far from my office, and widely renowned to be the best gastropub in London) or the new champagne & oysters place on the edge of Borough Market ... Peanut cookies have turned out fab, and am about to send an email round at work advertising them ... Hope everybody's OK ... PP, hope the hospital goes well ... Snowy, on behalf of Nelski, of course she sleeps with her hair on, the lustrous blue locks are 100% natural and run in her family :D ... Will be back later I'm sure ... Love Rzl xx
