    Evening all

Ageandjo - Don't go - I think we all have times on here when we feel we're being ignored, I know it's never intentional but it can sometimes make you feel a bit down. No helpfull ideas on your parents pressie.......I've just arranged with my sister to send our Dad on a flying experience day for his 60th in October.....maybe you could look at golfing experience days for your dad?

PP - Hope your DH and DD had a great day at Margate.

VickyA - Fingers crossed you get your wedding music sorted.

Hugs to all who need them.

DH has been off today - thank god - still go no energy from this tummy bug. Developed a nasty tickly cough too which is agony as I can't cough as my ribs are still sore from the throwing up......the plus side is that I've lost a stone since Friday.......not the most ideal way to go about it though.

Had to pop to Asda to get something for DH and they had most of their kiddies undies reduced to £1 a pack....got vests and knicks for both girls....9 vests and 20 pairs of knicks for £8...all matching pretty ones too - not just plain white...they were impressed.

Been lying on the sofa all afternoon with a library book (which I finished) whilst DH cut the front hedges and strimmed the weeds off the patio - then he cooked tea - roast chicken and new pots (I needed bland) - had about 5 mouthfulls but really just can't stomach it.

Anyway - hope you've all had a wonderful day.

    Gooooooodmorning,

Had a great nights sleep last night. :jAll ready for my cleaning and cooking marathon today. :p It's a lovely day here, got a load of washing on now. I will check out some stationary sites in Oz for that Pukka pad. I MUST have one. :D

Ageando Did you say something? :D Is that your dog? We use to have a rotty before I got my two little babies dogs. ;) It was DH's. He got it to take to work, leave under the ute to guard his tools etc. He use to cry and howl all day cos he missed me. :D He would follow me around the outside of the house, if I was in the office he'd lay in front of window, etc. DH was not impressed. :rotfl:I never bought Mum anything when she retired. It's not really done here, exept from the firm that they are leaving.

VickyA Only 19 days to go. Whooooo Hoooooo. :jThe countdown is on.

Pooky Hope your feeling a bit better in the morning.

Snowy Keep typing. Your swishing & loo loo antics keep me smiling. :D

Michelle You sound exhausted. When do you finish w***. To all those teachers out there, you all need 4_17_210.gif.

Well I'll be off to check the rest of my emails and start the day. Have a good sleep everyone. Night Night.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Evening all :D

    It's chucking it down outside.

Got home about an hour and a half ago - had been out having a singing lesson. Returned via Sainsburys where I found one single solitary yellow sticker bargain (2 free range chicken breasts reduced from £5.31 to 20p! Can't complain) and a pair of Tu earrings half price at £1.50 for a cheap retail therapy fix. All the spring range is now selling for half price and there are some really pretty things :j :j

Have been making peanut butter cookies to feed my colleagues in honour of my birthday - they are in the oven. They were a bit "experimental" - realised only AFTER I'd got home and all the shops were shut, that I didn't really have enough flour or butter  so I hope they turn out OK!

Right, must go and retrieve cookies from oven.

ivyleaf - Don't worry, I'm not too knackered - I know what the problem is - when I burn the candle at both ends (as I am wont to do) I normally recover by having a nice long lie in every Saturday morning. I've missed out on 2 consecutive Saturday lie-ins now (last week I had Ticklemouse's two noisy boys playing outside my bedroom door, and this week I had to be up at a reasonable hour to go over to my dad's!) but should be getting a decent recovery time this weekend! It's nobody's fault but my own

LOL @ Nelski! I did what I was told and went to bed, but I am awake again - trust me, I would rather be sleeping. BTW Nelski, do you sleep with your hair on?

    Hello everyone!

Plans for today consist of going to w*** and getting lots done. It's holiday season here in N.I. - schools broke up at the end of June, and as there are two public holidays this week lots of people have taken the entire week off. It's fantastically quiet in the office at the moment, so I have time to get my head down and shift some paper.

Later in the day I will eat cake on Bargain Rzl's behalf. You will understand that I do not want to eat cake, but since it's her birthday it would be incredibly rude not to have a large slice.

I was outted yesterday by the window-cleaner...he was witness to my exceptionally grim kitchen and dining room - cluttered worktops, dishwasher not emptied, backlog of dishes to go into dw, drawers on an airer in the corner (and I'm not talking about the wooden type either). I do wish he would give some warning that he's coming round! Well the shame of it made me pick up my microfibre cloth and Stardrops, and now it's all shiny like a new pin and drawers are safely tucked away. I hope to extend this
feat of domestic engineering to the bathroom and bedroom this evening.

Think I might try for some more shut eye now, all this talk of domestic engineering is making me sleepy...

    Bye.
