((((hugs))))) to you. I was feeling exactly the same yesterday (as you can tel from my post yesterday), and it was because I was feeling a bit like that I didn't post this morning (despite all the lovely support I've had lately). Feeling a bit better this avo, so helo everyone :D

Haven't got a clue what to suggest for your parents I'm afraid - bit brain dead at the mo - another symptom of PMT I think. Not sure what my excuse is for the rest of the year

Essex girl - I want one too (stamps foot). Not sure how I can justify it yet - but if I happen to see one on my supermarket travels I'm sure one will probably 'fall' into my trolley..... :p

Catowen - my youngest DS has a hefty appetite, and I had similar troubles when he was on packed lunches. Thing is he was hungry - and would be starving by the time he got home. Friends DD just refused to eat. Luckily for me, part of the 'bonus' of giving up work is he now gets school dinners, and so sits with friends. Now he complains they don't feed him enough :rotfl:
Please don't anyone get rattled about me not working - I stayed in work for as long as I could - but I was much worse off financially and that's where most of my debt came from. Crazy I know, but true in my case.

Well, best be off to sort out tea (chilli and ginger chicken from the index),
Hope you all have a good evening - and Catowen, hope you get a nice parcel tomorrow :D

I haven't got a clue either about retirement pressies. All i could think of was perhaps a basket with things that they might have time to do. E.g. if mum was into crafts, perhaps a cross stitch, paint set, card making kit. I'm suffering with pregnancy foggy brain myself, so not much help to anyone.

Had a bizarre old day at work again. I slept awfully, and was awake from 3, and i've really struggled all day to either stand up or sit down for more than 10 minutes at a time. I'm supposed to be getting coursework done with year ten, but more than half of my group were out today on trips. I don't know how i'll ever get it done.

I also had a shocking lesson with my year nine kids. Even really good kids were messing around. 3 were messing around pushing each other near me, and i was worried to death they were going to bump into me. I will be so greatful to get through the next few lessons with them, and then i will not have to teach them again. :T

I managed to get none of my list done as i was too busy catching up with paperwork and having to walk around the room lots.

Thank god i'm off work Wed is all i can say. I know some of you will not be looking forward to the hols, but it is the only thought getting me through at the minute.

sorry for setting everyone off on the 'pukka' obsession. Mine will become a household manual as soon as i can do some of my 'to do' list. Perhaps on Wednesday as a break. ;)

Best go and do last nights washing up so i can actually then cook tonights tea.

    See you all tomorrow.

    Hi all :hello:

((((hugs)))) to all those that need them.

PP - I hope that your DH and DD have had a good day out!

ageandjo - if you book your parents a flight to Oz then can you book me one too please? :D

The house is looking very clean at the moment after our blitz on Saturday. I wonder how long we can keep it up?

I'm exhausted and I don't know how I'm going to survive the next 9 days of school. The children are going to their new schools on Thursday and Friday of this week, so they're all incredibly excited and excitable! I get to meet my new class on Friday, so hopefully they're slightly better. :D

I had a bit of a nightmare last night. I phoned the organist for the wedding to finalise all the music. I'd told her a couple of months ago that I wanted "The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba" to walk down the aisle to. Anyway, last night she told me that she didn't want to play it. Remember that we get married in 19 days time  A friend had offered to sing during the signing of the register, but after that conversation that there is definitely no way that she will be singing/be accompanied if she was to sing. I think that my mum has managed to resurrect the situation........

I spoke to my mum last night too. She's getting incredibly stressed with my dad who seems to be doing a grand total of nothing and leaving her with all the organising from their end................ then complaining that no one is doing anything whilst he sits there doing nothing/watching Emmerdale! I told my mum that as her present for helping to organise it all, she's getting two tickets to see the Spanish Riding School at the NEC in November. Needless to say, she started to cry saying how "lovely" it was. Fingers crossed, I get to go with her (cos I doubt she'll be talking to my dad by then!).

    Anyway, enough with the whinging.

Hi, bit of a late and brief post for me today as trying to cook dinner at same time!!

(((((HUGS))))) to Kaz, VickyA, Ageandjo, Moggins and everyone else who's in need of one!

P-P Glad you feel a bit better now and I hope your OH and DD had a good day.

Twink - lovely wedding photos! Kyle looks gorgeous even though it's a shame she forgot her flowers - she must have been upset, but they got married and that was the main thing! Your dear GSs look fabulous too!

Chipps - one of my (former) colleagues has been to Crete twice and loves it - will have to try it one of these years! Cefalonia sounds lovely too.

Snowyowl - I do hope you are starting to feel better - try not to overdo things on your days off!

Bargain Rzl - tbh you sound knackered Hon! No chance you could have a couple of days off and just do nothing? I think you could do with it! ((hugs))

All for now, got to sort the spuds out! Then later, I might have a look at these Pukka Pads.........

    Hi again everyone

I've got into a right habit of posting two or even three times a day on here. You'd almost think I was interesting...

Ageandjo - aww, don't leave us, you know we don't mean it! I've been having a little think about the respective retirement presents. You seem to have a fairly generous budget if you're thinking of holidays. What about a flight for your sister and any children she may have to come and visit them over here? You could share the cost with your sister...maybe you cover costs for the kiddies while she pays for herself? When they are here arrange a big family party (if the two of them don't mind being in the same hall at the same time) and have a photographer there to take really good professional pictures. I can't think of anything else....I find with my retirement age parents they don't particularly want anything (other than for me to get married to a rich man and produce two perfect children:rotfl:).

BargainRzl...how's your baking going for your birthday? I've forgotten what you said you were going to make, but whatever it is I'm sure it'll be just as gorgeous as a Pukka Pad.

VickyA...only 19 days, gosh!! I hope this situation with your singer gets resolved. There seems to be some sort of virus going around making all men transform into useless heaps. Scare him with demands about the speech he has to make, that'll wake him up.

That's it for now, bye all.

    Good evening everyone,

Kyle - when i saw the wedding photos, i didnt even notice there wernt any flowers!!! Glad you had such a lovely time.

Kaz - Spoke to DSs teacher this afternoon, they are arranging for him to show his lunch box to one of the dinner ladies each day, to show what he has eaten. I always ask what he wants in his sandwiches, will change to rolls/pitta/wraps etc so he doesnt get bored with the same old things, but the problem is definatly the fact he wants to play with his friends, and not that he doesnt want his dinner. Hopefully, the school will be able to keep an eye on it now. Thank you for posting my package BTW, will let you know as soon as it gets here!!! Oh, i wouldnt worry about being on IS, i was on IS when my exOH left, and financially i wasnt viable to go back to work. The only reason im able to work now, is because i work from home and qualify for the maximum amount of CTC!!!!

Well, had a nice quiet day today. The little ones were all well behaved, it was a shame we couldnt go outside, as its been misty rain all day, but hopefully the forecast is better weather for the rest of the week, so fingers crossed for that.
Right, off to see if i can find anything desent on the telly tonight, will prob put a dvd on instead.
Have a good evening, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
