morning all
Didnt post yesterday, have just looked at the photos twink - they are lovely, those boys look so cute, I'm glad they had a lovely wedding.
snowy -hope you feel better soon, my ds2 still has tummy upset been quite awhile now, seems to be doing the rounds for what i read on here though.
TM - hope things between you and dh get better. I know how you feel at the moment, i'm having a rough time with my dh. He can have a sort of a miserable attitude at times and it really gets me down, so I dont feel particularly happy today.
We went out on saturday, had a lovely lunch then watched Pirates film, then had a drink in pub and came home, had a lovely time then sunday it all goes pear shaped with his miserable replies and I start feeling down.
sorry this is sounding too down for a monday morning - better buzz off and pop back later when i get to work, might feel better then.
hope everyone has a good monday x
chipps - welcome back, where did you go on holiday? (sorry i forget in my old age!)

We had a very bad arguement yesterday, and haven't spoken to each other since, so big ((((hugs)))) to you (and to Shez and moggins and anyone else who's having the same problem). I think it must be the hot weather......
welcome back to Chipps did you go anywhere nice?
SnowyOwl hope your tummy is feeling better today
OOOOh can I join the stationary-oholics anonymous club as well?? My Mum and I are mad about notebooks and things. Mum has a Puka pad (actually I think she has several) for her piano pupils. I just wish I could think of a reason that I need one as well!! :rotfl:

Goodmorning everyone,
Just sitting here while I should be in the kitchen getting tea on. Had a big day in town today & I've just put all the groceries away & got the clothes off the line & folded them. Thought I'd come on here for 10mins before I start the night shift.I dragged DH off with me today. While we were waiting for the ferry sitting on the bench we noticed a pod of dolphins very close by. 3 of them with a baby. It was so lovely to see them free in their natural habitat. I love seeing animals like this. It was magical & made it a special moment. I hate them in animal parks jumping through hoops.
Got a couple more quotes for the kitchen. The last one I'm really hoping he gives us a good price as he was great. Gave us some great ideas, was so informative etc. Suggested a few changes that makes so much sense. This is what I was after. I know what I don't want, just unsure what I do want. He said he will take a week to post it out. Bought 2 new cabin bags for our travels. They are perfect. We saw the same ones at a baggage place for $50 - $70 each. ALDI had them for $25. :TAlso had a compact London travel book with map written by Globetrotter. It's one of the best ones I"ve seen. Again on special.Better get some tea cooking. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning everybody :hello: ... Twink/Kyle - I will look at the pics when I get home - our office system doesn't allow us to access photo sites! ... Glad to hear that people's tums are better ... Our wireless router has been officially pronounced dead by my housemate's IT-expert friend ... EVERYTHING else on the connection is working, so the router will be going back to the shop! ... Housemate is away from today until Thursday, visiting family in Shropshire ... means I have the place to myself :j :j :j ... I like having it to myself cos I can make a mess in the name of timesaving, then clear it up in one go rather than having to put things away in the meantime (like leaving ALL the washing up until I've finished ALL my cooking, or covering the living room in a growing heap of clean laundry as 3 consecutive loads come out of the machine/off the line!) ... You all made me LOL at the stationeryoholics conversation yesterday! - I'm afraid I'm not very high maintenance stationery-wise - I'll admire beautiful stationery but can usually resist it
... Nels, why doesn't it surprise me that you like rainbow-coloured stationery? ... Am feeling a bit wrecked ATM ... Every morning I wake up feeling hung over, even when I've had no alcohol and lots of water the previous night ... Thank goodness I've got a quiet few days ... Better make the most of it, as the Proms start on Friday, and as I have a season ticket I can go to as many concerts as I like ... last year I went to 47 :D ... this year TBH there aren't as many I'm interested in, and I've got other things on as well - I'd predict about 30-35 over the course of the season (this Fri - 2nd Sat of September) ... Hope everybody's well ... catch you later ... By the way, hi to Catowen too (I'm guessing that with Gingham and Pink away, there's no merging-fairy to sort out your stray post!) ... love Rzl xxx

I have an appopintment with the dentist this morning, the yearly, I hate going, but as we have to have a checkup, scale and polish otherwise we loose our place on his list...... he is the only NHS dentist for miles around, I have to go...... fortunately have not had to have anything done for years, hope it stays that way..........
Not a bad mornig, sun keeps popping its head out, birds are chirping away. OH is off to the allotment after lunch, might go with him....see how I feel....
Bedrooms will have to wait until tomorrow, will have a blitz and do the whole house in one go tomorrow morning, have a visitor coming Wednesday so a non work day , although I may well have the washer on tomorrow night, depends on how much there is in the basket.
Ironed the sheets etc yesterday so they are ready to go away.
Off for a cup of coffee and to syke myself up for my trip to the tooth man..........

Good Morning All
(((hugs))) to those who need them. I know what you mean about OH's! Although mine is being helpful at the mo we spend a lot of time together as we run our own buss and we do get under each others feet. Its ok at the mo as he is working in the garage a lot.
Im in my office at the mo and probably will be for at least 3 hours to get all the essential stuff done, I also really need to start my eoyear but keep putting it off. I will get it done by then time the kids break up - I really must.
Had marathon washing and ironing day yesterday so today am just washing the bedding. No housework planned and wont be cooking tonight - will be having fish and chips. In a minute will check the weather for the week so can menu-plan - lost the way recently as didnt fancy cooked stuff when the weather was very hot.
Anyway best get off, have a great day.0 -
Morning All
just back from a week with OH in USA and feeling a bit whacked - slept 13 hours last night and have woken up with a total lack of interest in general today so not doing too much.
Having said that the bathroom and kitchen have been deep cleaned, living room has had a quick dust around, vacuum and tidy and first load of washing is in while whites are soaking in napisan.
Off to garden center in a bit to stock up on bird food.
Breakfast - just acup of tea
Lunch - cheese and onion sandwich
Dinner - haddock in cheese sauce, new pots and pease, peach cobbler.
hope youre all feeling more energetic than I am - have a great, productive day

Morning all,
Haven't been posting for a while but have been keeping an eye on the board. DH came back early from Russia on Friday half starved - the food was that bad. So I had splashed out on 4 huge sirloin steaks and did HM proper chips and onion rings. The butcher nearly died when he realised one of the steaks was for ds2 who's 7 - why do people think children don't qualify for proper food - and I nearly died at the price  . But it's still cheaper than a takeaway or going out, which I tend to forget!
Had a very OS day yesterday - turned some very old apples into apple and mint jelly, picked 3lbs gooseberries - one lot in the freezer, one lot in a pie and one lot into a preserving jar to become gooseberry gin for Christmas. Got a load of fruit reduced so have also got a cherry brandy and an apricot brandy on the go and some reduced duck legs in the process of being turned into confit!:T
House looks like a tip - school holidays for 1 week already - the kids finished on 30.6 - and also we're in the process of decluttering books - huge pile for the charity shop. Oh well onwards and upwards! Dh says he's coming home to work this afternoon which means everyone else will have to tiptoe round the house - grrrr!
Hugs to everyone that needs them and have a good, OS day everyone.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”
