If you were to ask me in all seriousness why I set my business up I would probably give you a really good set of reasons around goals and enjoyment of my work but do you want the real reason................................................

Its because I can buy lots and lots of stationary and say its for the business:D:D

Michelle I have that Pukka pad too ( in fact I have 3 of them in my stationary cupboard just in case along with lots of other gorgeous looking pads and pretty pens) Last weeks fad was one of those roladex things for all my addresses and this week its a very colourful copy holder for my desk. I am one of Viking Directs best customers andthe Staples staff all know my name:eek:  So thats confession over with and if anyone wants to join then Im going to set up a Stationaryohlics Anonymous:D

TM glad to hear you are wearing those poor travel agents down - wouldnt be surprised if they end up paying you for the privildge of all your money saving knowledge - by the way Mr TM needs his cards to be allocated by you on each trip to make sure he uses the right one!

Rzl - is it your birthday on tues by any chance;) Glad you enjoyed Glyndebourne hun

Snowy hope you are off to the docs tomorrow this sounds awful

    Hugs to everyone else

Yesterdays cheap dinner out to the Toby was a bit of a disaster as they had put the ovens on the wrong temperature so had to waste 3 massive joints (gammon turkey and beef) and therefore had veg only:mad: so we went to another pub down the road which was packed so we ended up having a soup and heading home. As they only opened on Monday I guess its teething troubles but I be somebodies head will roll for that!!

So today have enjoyed another miserable weather day by watching the tennis ( well watching the players if Im being totally honest:D :D;) ) and tonight I may watch the football (well the football players then:rotfl: )

Hope you all have a great rest of your sunday and if anyone needs a post it pad...........im your girl:D

Can I join, please!?!? I love stationary, and DD has inherited this trait. All the girls in the office, too. :D Never heard of a Pukka pad, but will need to do detour by Straples soon , just to get one. :rotfl:

Had a funny experience at lunch time. DH cooked me lunch (pan fried pigeon breast on toast and leaves, with a balsamic dressing). We walked down the garden to pick the leaves. When we planted, we'd run out of labels, so intended to note down what we'd planted where, but never did. I went to pick some rocket, but DH said that the next row was rocket, and what I was getting was turnip. Funny thing was, he was right, but I'd picked what I thought was rocket for tea last night :o:o:o Turnip tops are delishious in salads, btw. :rotfl:

Had a really nice day - woke up at 6 a.m. and was showered ,shampood and dressed ready to set off at 7 a.m. to a family christening.

Left at 3 hoping to be home by 4.30ish but got stuck in tail backs because of accident on M62.

Just popping on here to say "Hello".

Moggins when you said DH was sleeping all morning I assumed he was working shifts - seems a bit selfish if he is just staying up all night. You must feel like a single parent at times!

i confess it is my 2nd pukka pad. I bought one about a year ago for work purposes, but i want to be more organised at home and i like the idea that it is so colourful and it has the dividers.

I made DH look all over the shop with me until we had found one, and i was practically giddy when i discovered the dividers infact come out and you can move them about in the pad!!!! :T

OK - i'm procrastinating now. So far cleaning the bathroom while wearing a face mask, and making the dinner has been more pressing than writing the reports i'm supposed to be doing. I've done 6  but i have another 45 to do. I wanted them out the way this weekend before the dealine of Friday because i have to write a scheme of work by then as well.

If its any excuse, i just can't sit for long today. It feels like the baby is in my ribcage and it is quite painful. I had to lay on the floor completely flat earlier, and i'm only managing 10 mins at a time. Only another 16 weeks of it eh??

If i'm not careful, it may even seem more essential to crack on with the ironing but that will be sheer desperation. :p

Mmmmm..... stationery. I love the smell of it. New paper, notebooks, coloured paper clips..... And to think, I thought I was alone in my stationery fetish!

I hope everyone has had a good weekend, stomach bugs permitting. I had a lovely time in Wales, although the weather was not too kind with wind and heavy rain.

My wonderful OH took me out on Friday night for a fabulous meal at Castle Deudraeth. It was lovely, I had sea bass which has the most delicate, delicious flavour. It was superb.

I gave away and received things today. I gave away 6 demi-johns (well they were at my mum's but they were in her way) to a chap who had asked for them on freecycle and my sister gave me a television. She has bought a fancy new flat widescreen TV and kindly donated her old one (well, its not that old!) to me. I need to go round to her house sometime this week to take up the bathroom carpet as she is having new cushionfloor laid. So everyone is happy!

The gardens had a much-needed soaking this weekend and I came home to see that my courgettes are developing nicely and I have plenty of tomatoes on the plants too. The radish, little gem lettuces and carrots seem OK too. Roll on harvest time!

    See you tomorrow everyone,

Me too! Stationary shopping was my favourite bit of the back to school shopping. Every time I do a college course I buy new stationary - its better than buying shoes :D

Absolutely, Au Naturel do great boxes. I have a tower of them in my study for filing paperwork. All different designs.

But my favourite stationery of all is pads of squared paper. Makes me feel so French and continental..............

Can't concentrate at all now, all this talk of stationery (or is it the 3rd glass of red..........or maybe after effects of turnip tops...........)
