Moggins' Flylady Challenge...um, rings a bell...
A great bell just clanged in my ear
Morning Moggins, I'm off to the kitchen, again :j0 -
Morning everyone.
W/M is on, T/D is on and there's at least another 2 wash loads to go - without counting bedding etc. That'll teach me not to have a routine:rolleyes:
(((hugs))) to Snowy and Pooky. Hope you both feel much better soon.
Moggins - I know it's not fair that he's having a lie in when it's you who deserves one - but at least while he's there you don't have to talk to him!
Going through a bit of a 'funny' at the moment (past few days) where I keep thinking I've upset people and 'nobody likes me', lol. Hoping that it is just me being paranoid and that I haven't really done something to upset people without knowing! It really helps to come on here and hear everyone elses ups and downs - helps put things in perspective.
Well, OS for me today is more homecooking (only given into the chippy once since joining you guys :T - was a regular occurance before) tending to my sprouting beans (ate first batch yesterday and they were lush), tending to kefir (takes a while 'cos I've got so much!) and of course lots and lots of washing/drying/sorting!!
Also got to take DS2 to record last part of CD today. Music was done last week, vocals this week - but if he doesn't sort that room of his out he'll have no breath to sing with - I'll have parted him from it
Hope you all have a lovely day,

morning everyone.
It's been a bit dull weather wise this weekend, which is a shame as i wanted to bottom the washing baskets again, or rather DH's.
We were out or cleaning most of the day yesterday, but managed to get loads done so i am really pleased. I now have everything needed soft furnishing wise for babies room, and it was 20% off in the sale at dunelm mill. It is white at the top, and then pale stripes at the bottom half, with pictures of zoo animals on. It is slightly more for a male child but wouldn't be awful for a girls room, and because it was in the sale, everything, such as the grow bag, nursery organiser, laundry bag, all matches and its now another thig off my list.
We also had a trip to john lewis's and we have found furniture we want for the living/dining room. It is more pricy than we first said we would spend, but we decided if we got it on 6 months 0% we can afford it and we both love it, and feel inspired again. Hope this link works.

we also spring cleaned the bedroom completely and i had a major declutter.
Plans for today are:
DH will strip wallpaper and borders in the living room. i will write reports and plan lessons. Sounds a fab deal to me. We also need to fit in a trip to the ASDA and probably a trip to my parents house to borrow their steamer to make DH's job easier.
Snowy - hope you feel much better by tomorrow. It sounds a horrid bug so i am keeping my fingers crossedit isn't in my area. Pooky - sorry your weekend got spoilt as well.
Best go and get on. Have a fab day everyone.

Morning all......(((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) to those who need them.
Bad night for me, did not put the light off until after 3am, and then woke every hour......OH brought my brekkie, so am just up and washed. I have a washer load of bed linen to go out on the line, its a bit of a gery day, but blowing up a storm so I might get them dry.
OH brought gooseberries, spuds and beetroot from the allotment yesterday, I gave some to our nrighbour, she is on her own and I know she has a tough time managing on her pension.
Nothing really planned for today, we have pork for supper tonight with new spuds carrots and cauli, not quite sure whats for pud, depends on what fruit is ripe in the garden really.
I will poss watch the mens final this aft if we do not find anything better to do.
Queenie: glad to see a post from you wondered what you had been up to recently.
Pooky: sorry to hear that your little break did not go as well as it should, but when you are not well your own bed is always best!!!!!
Snowy: If yo are no better tomorrow a trip to the Docs is called for I think!!!!
Right I am off to put the washing out on the line and have another cup of gut rot (Gillian Mackeith speak for coffee) and see what OH is up to and if he has any plans for us today.........................

Good morning everyone,
Snowy and Pooky - hope you are bothe feeling better soon :grouphug:
PP - i think the general rule is not to freeze rice, but i must admit, i always do (one takeaway will last me 2 meals!!!) and ive never had food poisoning yet (prob more luck than judgement!!!) mind you, i always like my food boiling hot, so maybe im killing all the bad bacteria that way!!!!
Pen pen - i love mystery shopping, think its due to the fact when i worked in a bank (yes i know!!!!) i was often mystery shopped so its a nice change to be on the other side. I found a list of websites on here, and signed up with a load of them and have been doing it since March, i will look the link out, and pm it to you!!!
Queenie - lovely to see you back, you must be really proud of your DSs, and well done on that new bed!!!
Poppycracker, TM and Moggins - sorry about the OHs, hope you have better days today x
Twink - enjoy DGS, a day of cuddles sounds wonderful!!!!
Lucie - hope the arms feel better after all your jobs!!!!
AussieLass - well done for braving the car journey!!!!
Well, after a busy day yesterday, hoping for a nice quiet one today. I do have some washing to go in the WM, and Sunday is my day to dust and hoover upstairs (dont like doing jobs upstairs in the week, due to the little ones i look after) but that is it. DS does have his best mates football party to goto this afternoon, so im thinking DD and i can do some baking together. She enjoys doing things with me, and we are running low on the cakes and biscuits so will be good to get some done. DS and DD made me breakfast in bed this morning :T (ok, i got it all ready last night, but they still had to make the cup of tea and get the toast out of the toaster!!!) so we had a lovely time all sat in my bed munching on toast!!!
Right, really should get into the shower and maybe do something (want to get everything done before the mens final this afternoon)
Have a lovely day everyone
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good Morning All
Get well soon to Snowyowl & Pooky - but Pooky you sure have some thoughtful kids there putting you above Captain Croc !
(((Hugs))) to anyone who needs them - my OH wont be too annoying today - he is painting in his garage. Think will make him a coffee everynow and then - DD is playing with new computer games & DS is just running up and down the garden. Weather quite strange here - cool and windy so have decided prob wont go to our caraven as planned which is good news to me as really need head start on the week, so will be concentrating on washing, ironing and cleaning here today, also hope to take the dog for a nice long walk.
Forgot to say the other day dd got her sat results - 3 fours and 2 threes so am really pleased - didnt expect that, also ds got a good report too. They are really good at school but not so much at home!!
Anyway off now - forgot to mention that I am not yet dressed so will do that now and get on with things.
Have a good day all.0 -
Morning all
Things still not too great here look like OH has another kidney stone!
I had a fab day yesterday too the dogs to the beach in the afternoon luckily the tide was out, it was so funny (picture this) I had my boxer dog on a long lunge line (my horses) because she just runs off, me in a pair of white shorts and top and flip flops (they get stuck in the sand) my other dog an 8stone rottweiler was charging round like a loony and the oxer was following him, I ended up being wrapped up in the flippin lunge line in the water lost my flip flops and the rottweiler was like digby charging at me making what looked like 10ft waves coming towards me! Hence I was not only completly soaked/tided up/no flip flops/ the dogs both chrging at me with exitement I then was pulled right in:eek:
I hadnt laughed so much in ages, I had such good fun I forgot about all the bad things happening in our life and relaxed for once.
Just wanted to share my laughter with you all :j0 -
Good morning all,
Well, I returned from Edinburgh on Thursday afternoon - on the way back from the airport I got an alarm showing in the car
Friday we took the other car out to look for another car as we know we need to get rid of the above car as it is slowly dying. However, in our normal bumbling manner haven't made any decisions as to what we want.
Booked "good" car in for new exhaust (£150  ).
Went to Chinese supermarket and stocked up on vinegar (and ichiban beer much to DH's delight) ... bloke at checkout looked at me curiously and asked me what on earth I was going to use that much vinegar for (8 x 5l !)
We went to Pizza Hut for tea and got approached by some woman wanting us to fill in a questionnaire .... got £5 M&S voucher for the task
Saturday, went out and bought a load of strawberries ready for jam making - though at the alarming rate my family are eating them .. I'll be lucky to make any, LOL.
Saturday night - got my ma to babysit, I'd booked tickets to the POTC ... and off we trotted - 10 mins later - we called the breakdown recovery people as our good car - had brokenDH thinks it may be the air con unit, which is really bad as that broke about a yr ago. 2hrs later, we got home - took the 1st car out - ........ on way back we had to nurse it home - head gasket blown - I hereby give up!!!
Today, is therefore going to be pretty much home based, oddly enough!!
Wind is blowing merrily here, so hopefully washing will get dried quickly. Need to repot one of the toms as it blew over in the night and smashed the pot!
1 load hung out
1 load in wm
1 load to do
ironing x way too much!!
housework - no point - DH currently sanding all walls and ceiling of dining room with electric sander - house is covered in the stuff.GC - March 2024 -0
