Pooky Hun-Sorry to hear you've not been well. Think I had the same bug the other day and wasnt very nice. Its such a shame you missed out on the free weekend away-you work so hard and needed the break, but when your not well like that, its nicer to be at home....on your own loo:o

Moggins-Hugs! Hope you get to do something nice today. Stuff the OH. Could you go to the cinema with DD or go to Macdonalds as a treat or something, so you can get out the house! Thinking of you. My sister is in exactly the same place as you ATM. This is her second marriage and she is 29:eek: ....nah shes a good girl, just a lousy choice in men..lol. She isnt happy either and Ive said to her that its better to be happy alone than miserable together. She doesnt deserve to be treated like !!!!!! either!!

Snowy-I had this bug the other day and its not nice. I had to have an infusion 2 days after and was lucky that they out through a bag of saline as I was so dehydrated by the loo runs:eek: ....please keep hydrated if nothing else. If hungry, eat dry toast or crackers and nothing fatty or milk based.

Queenie-Lovely to see you back! Your 2 boys seem like brainiacs-DD is quite quiet and although she knows the answers to loads of things at school-she doesnt like to put her hand up, so am hoping that secondary will sort this out:confused: How did the parents evening go?

    Pen-Pen-I love reading your posts:D

    BargainRzl-Nicked...I mean found any bargains recently:rotfl: :p

Nelski-Sorry I missed you on MSN yesterday, had friends over. Hope your well and chat later.

TM-Hope you make the right decision in choosing a job. Men....who'd have em?? Chat later!

Everyone else...hugs and keep your chins up.

Lucie, I know exactly how you feel, re. the Body Pump, I can barely lift my arms above me head for days after doing a class, still its great for the 'bingo wings'! :D

Jut spent all morning, washing and tumbling feather pillows, and they have come up a treat - so pleased about that! :j

    Have a great day all.

    Afternoon all.

Can we officially form a "let's moan about our OH's" club?

Last thing I said to Mr TM before he went to France last week was "If you use your CC abroad, USE YOUR NATIONWIDE ONE!" (Given he uses it in this country instead of his Tesco one :()

Just been online to sort out the Tesco card ..... doesn't take a genius to work out which one he used in France....twice!!

Other than that, cold and miserable here and have an absolute mountain of ironing to do. And I've had to use the TD cos it's too wet to dry outside and still too humid inside to dry quickly enough.

On the up side, the holiday I want keeps coming down in price :D I still haven't booked it yet though :D

Hugs to all, especially those with idiots for OH's :D

    Afternoon :D

Well I haven't been online at all since Friday afternoon, due to a combination of being busy (left the house at 10am yesterday and stayed over at my dad's, so no internet time!) and having my ongoing connection problems! Having read through the last couple of daily threads it seems I've missed out on hearing about LOTS of stomach bugs (ugh!) and an equal number of useless OHs!!!!! This is for all suffering from either - or both!11_2_104.gif

PenPen - Glyndebourne was fab! And I said hello to the llamas from you ;) - twice actually, as my dad took a wrong turning! We saw "Fidelio", the best performance of it I've ever seen.

TM - What Nels said! Your OH always seems to be off on jollies and not taking notice of the cost! You need to have words with him, I think - you have quite enough to do without needing to get a job!

ageandjo - :rotfl: Hope your OH is ok.

Am knackered. I feel sort of hung over, even though I drank very little yesterday. Need a cheese sandwich and a lie down. MUST have enough energy to get some tidying/cleaning done later (I was all efficient last week, cleared out and organised all my bedroom cupboards, but unfortunately most of the clutter/junk is now in piles all over the floor, so need to be ruthless and sort it all into "Rubbish/Jumble/Charity Shop/Freecycle/Ebay".

Also will need to do some minor baking due to impending birthday (Tues) and the tradition of taking cakes/biscuits into the office. I seem to remember a recent recipe on here for peanut butter cookies, which I'm about to look for.

Also need to phone the friend who tried to ring me yesterday when I was on a train with no phone signal.

    Right, see you later :D

    Rzl xx

    Afternoon everyone :hello:

TM - can I nominate my OH for the idiots OH club? Mine is supposed to be booking an exam and he's "definitely" going to do it each day, but when he gets home he hasn't done it for X, Y or Z reason. Grrrrr   I don't know whether he'll ever leave his current job because it's just too easy for him.

Today has been spent reading the paper and then walking down into town for a coffee. Very nice as I had a piece of choccy cake too :D

We cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday. It's now all shiny and clean. We've shredded loads of old bank statements, so we now have less paper in the house.

Anyway, I'll leave you all to it!

I don't know whether i'll have to leave OS in shame,as i have spent an extortionate amount today.

We went for a perusal of a furniture shop that we just happened to notice as we were on our way to Mothercare yet again, and managed to spot even nicer furniture than the stuff we saw at Lewis's yesterday, and it was all in the sale, and it was so much cheaper we are saving £1000, and managed to get a dining room table plus four chairs too. :T I think that one might have to be virtual pin money savings. The only difference is we were going to get it on a Lewis card to pay off over 6 months, and this place, we'll need to pay for it on delivery, but at £3200, i will be getting about £1200 for SAT marking this month, plus i would be putting a good chunk in the savings account, and i don't mind pulling the belt in a bit to get the nicer better suited stuff.

I also managed to spend another £100 in mothercare, but that included a gift for DH's cousins new baby, and vests and sleepsuits for baby pud now up to a year, and a swimming cossie for me for our hols, and a xmas pressie that was half price in the sale - a turtle with different textures and fastenings all over its body. At this rate i won't need to buy much else clothes wise until i am safely back at work with a good income again. Gosh,i think looking back at the weekend in general though, i had best start monitoring the pennies before i bankrupt us. :rotfl:

(OOOOH - also dead excited because i went into staples and got a pukka notebook with plastic dividers in it, and i am going to make it into my household manual ala moggins style. I'm a bit worried that i seem to have a bizarre stationary fetish, although being a teacher i can regularly indulge without too much guilt.)

I had best now start doing the reports ready for school tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of the day everyone,

    Michelle. xx

Hope the useless DH's start pulling their weight a bit more. I can't really grumble too much about mine at the minute although they all have their moments don't they.

OOOOOOOH - ME TOO! I can never resist pens & pencils & notebooks. I could spend HOURS browsing - being OS means I rarely spend of course :o  Makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one.

    Evening

Quiet here as DD is at her friends and wont be back till 7'ish:D

OH cooked a lovely roast for lunch and Ive just used up some cucumber, spring onions, lettuce, mushrooms, chicken curry, sweet sour chicken, egg fried rice, ham and grated cheese to make a wicked salad. Heated rice (leftovers) and put everything else in a bowl chopped up and cold, added the rice and a little salad cream and was lovely;)

Washload has been dried outside as weather cleared up and OH has tidied through for me. We played on the Xbox and I kicked his !!!!!!:rotfl: at golf, then he put a film on and we chilled for a couple of hours.

Sorted out the pressy box and made a list of what we have and was impressed:D

    Better go.

    Hugs to all.
