    Well, im feeling chuffed that i managed to copy and paste those 2 loose threads!!!!

    Kaz - spoke to DSs teacher this morning, (DS is 9, year 4) it looks like all his friends have school dinners, and they go in before the packed lunches (with school meals £1.65 a day, and 2 children, i cant afford them) so his friends have normally come out, and they are all playing before he gets called in. Of course, he is then wanting to continue playing, so eats as quickly as poss so he can get back out. Of course, what he is doing is having one bite, and going back out and then, because he knows im going to be angry because he hasnt eaten his dinner, he is hiding it. (the school have a policy of not letting them throw things away, so parents can see what has or in DSs case, hasnt been eaten!) His teacher is going to have a word with the head teacher and im going back in to see him later to see what the plan will be.

    Well, better get on, 3 little ones looking very hungry at the moment, and while they are having lunch, im going to whip the duster round, and then a quick hoover before 2 of them go to bed!!!!
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    As a kid I used to throw my packed lunches out or hide uneaten sandwiches in my bedroom. The reasons were quite simple: I was very bored of packed lunches and also found the bread/cake etc a bit dry sometimes. Looking back, I think the reason I found the food a bit dry was because I was badly dehydrated. We had a drinking fountain but it was horrible so I never used it. So I'd suggest a) trying a completely different menu in the packed lunches and b) checking how much your son is drinking during the school day. Hope this helps!

    As for my OS day, I re-discovered my bedroom carpet before I went to work today. It's a huge achievement as I've really been struggling with housework lately. OK, so the room needs a really good clean and there's a huge basket of ironing waiting to be tackled, but it's a start. This evening's challenge is to tidy the living area and the kitchen. I'll start on the cleaning tomorrow evening.

    We went to a little village called Kalo Chorio, not far from Agios Nikolaos - it was lovely, quite unspoilt. A bit of a walk to the beach, but though olive groves etc so quite nice. The bus service on Crete was brilliant - DS was impressed because on the bus back from Ag Nik, they were showing Spiderman 2 on the overhead TVs! A bit different from buses here!!!:D
    Sounds lovely!! Can't wait!!! :D

    Morning everyone,

    A cloudy but warm day here and a bit drier than at the weekend, fortunately.

    Just come back from the gym, having had my program updated. I feel fully invigorated now!

    Today I need to get cracking on tidying up the house. I think I'll start with the lounge, at least then I'll feel the benefit of my efforts. So, that's tidying up stray items, cleaning the windows, dusting, and hoovering the carpet. That should keep me quiet for quite a while!

    I also need to sort out DS's outfit for the school concert. He is playing the part of a drummer in a rock band and I believe is going to be wearing a green punk wig. I was just going to get a t-shirt from the charity shop and put lots of cuts in it. If I can find a bit of chain I'll safety pin it to the t-shirt as well. I think an old pair of jeans with the same treatment should be OK. What do you think? I don't have too much spare money to sort it out with so I don't want to have to buy spray paint. I could splash them both with bleach, that will mess them up a bit!

    That's about it from me.

    Breakfast was bran flakes;
    dinner will be some kind of salad;
    tea will probably be minced beef and roast potatoes. Veg will be frozen or tinned as I have run out of fresh and I don't want to go to a shop today.

    Have fun everyone!

    Afternoon Guys

    Feeling much better now:D

    DD & OH arrived safely but they didnt leave Charlton Football club till 10.15 so they couldnt stop on way to Margate, but they are having a great time and have just had their lunch and are at Dreamland. Will be back about 8pm:eek: both going to be shattered.

    SIL has just left to go home. She did the floors for me, sorted some kitchen cupboards as OH put some shelves in the corner rotunda and have managed to put all electric items in there (BM, Steamer, rice cooker, SC x 2, coffee perculator, grinder, etc) then the pans have gone in there too. So has freed up alot of space and OH just threw all stuff that was in there in no orderly fashion:rolleyes: so SIL sorted all for me:j ....she also did the ironing and wiped the sides for me in the kitchen....shes a star!!

    Received £6.50 in vouchers this morning and my CC bill which was zero:T

    Put 8 books on Amazon last night and 1 has already sold and I made £4 after postage, on Ebay I would have received £2 if lucky! Also listed 6 books on Freecycle and 4 have gone already and they are being picked up either tonight or tomorrow....very pleased!

    Great pictures guys....look fab.

    Am up the hospital again in the morning for another infusion so am resting up for the rest of today. FIL/MIL are just up the road if i need them and have been fed and watered. Have taken out a frozen HM shepards pie portion, so may have that later.

    Better go, hugs to all.
