Had a good weekend went for a meal and to see James Brown on Friday and then on to a club opening that Bil bro ther had organised and then out for dinner with sis and Bil on Sat. So was very tired at work yesterday and still hav that ligering sense of tiredness today RLZ Dont now how you cope with such an active social life, dont think I could manage 35 nights out between now and September.
This morning I've cleaned the living room and the kitchen and have been waiting for OH to get up to do up stairs.
Take care allGC: £400/ £00 -
Morning all :hello:
Not read the thread through properly as I've just noticed the time  so :grouphug: to all
Quite weekend here. Cleared out DD's clothing on Saturday and managed to get all the washing done and then OH did the ironing except for 2 items which I did :j Sooo...yesterday we decided to go to the Trafford Center as a treat  DD bought a new Tinkerbell pencilcase and flask from the Disney shop with her pocket money. Then OH and I treated her to a teddy from the Bear factory there as she came home with an excellent report on Friday :j Apparently she can read all the high frequency words upto and including Year 6 ones at the age of 5 :eek:Would you believe that we didn't buy anything else except for dinner (£35 for 2 course for 3 of us including drinks) from the Amercian Grill :j
House really needs a good tidy and clean today (didn't do it last week) and our water is off AGAIN (8-6pm) and will be off tomorrow as well (8-6pm) so washing of bathroom/kitchen will have to wait until either this evening or tomorrow evening unless I get up at 6.30 again tomorrow morning  Managed to get the masterbedding in the machine this morning before the water went off but I haven't gotten around to putting it out yet so I'll do that in a minute. Got 1 batch of dishes done as well but have more to do, will let some of the water thats in the sink (deliberately left for this reason...) and top it up with boiling water from the kettle so I can finish the dishes off. Bath has still got OH's bath water from this morning in it, but thats so that the toilet can still be used
Planning on going up to my mums tonight after DD gets in as it's mum's birthday today and I've got her card and pressie here. Will also wear DD out as I'll walk her up there again. :T OH will meet us there and drop some bits off that I can't carry up then we'll come home to bolognese (HM and defrosting in the fridge) and paprika flavoured rice for tea (only way I can get OH to eat rice is to flavour it and he likes the sweetness of the paprika when used this way:rolleyes: ).
Best get on, promised DD I would set up her dolls house in her room which is currently under our bed in pieces  Will hoover the floor in her room first though as I won't be getting in there with a hoover properly for a while now since she breaks up next Friday (and I've got loads on with school over the next two weeks)

Good morning everyone,
I'm working from home today but typically for me, I have done absolutely zilch so far!
I haven't been online for a few days, so have just been reading the weekend's daily threads. I can totally understand the stationery fetish. I adore it. Right now in front of me, I have three different sized notepads, a massive pencil pot thingy with enough pens into to use a different one every week for a year, two wire trays with my filing in that match the pencil pot and - my favourite things at the moment - sticky index filing thingies. Not sure if you'll know what I mean from that rather vague description, so take a look for yourselves at http://www.euroffice.co.uk/itm_show.asp?G6937=Post-it-Small-Indexes&HI=624185#head. They are addictive
I've done the menu plan for the week and tonight we're having lasagne with garlic bread and salad.
BF and I made another batch of weetabix brownies last night (I think he was bored before the football came on, as it was his suggestion....my BF and baking do not go hand-in-hand!) and both of us had two warm brownies and ice cream. Yummy, although that means we're down to only 8 left already!
Right, must get on. I hope everyone who has poorly tummies will start to feel better soon.

Hi again,
PP - sorry to hear you don't feel too good at the mo
We went to Kefalonia last week - lovely, this is the 2nd Greek island we have been to, Crete last year. It was one of those holidays where you don't know which hotel you are going to end up in, so a lot cheaper than normal brochure price. Also we only booked about a month before, so a good bargain. We have only been able to go for "posh" holidays just recently - now we are down to just 3 of us and things are getting a bit easier money-wise! Previously we went camping, or stayed with friends in Germany. So it has been very nice the last 2 years to have holidays where you could take a suitcase!!!!!
Anyway, we are nice & brown, had great fun & enjoyed wonderful food!
Aussielass - your dolphins reminded me; we went on a boat trip, glass bottomed boat, and one of the attractions was that we might be able to see dolphins. Unfortunately the dolphins were having a day off that day, but we did get to see a large loggerhead turtle going for a swim instead. Perhaps the dophins had asked him to take their shift that day!0 -

I want one of those Pukka Pads too. They are gorgeous. Unfortunately the nearest Ryman is in Chester, England while I'm in N.Ireland. Maybe I should avail of their internet shopping facility. Ooo the excitement of getting a big parcel that won't go through the letter box and ooooo having to go to the sorting office and oooooo aaahhhh unwrapping it in the car ...ooooooowwwwwwww wow!!!!

Hi Catowen - a friend of mine has similar problems with her DD, so I understand how worrying it can be. Any idea as to why he's skipping his lunch? How old is he? I'd imagine that with the work you do you're probably one of the most clued up on here with managing youngsters, but sometimes a few extra heads put together can help!

OS Monday 10th July
Good morning everyone,
Hope im not post crossing, as the thread is a bit late today!!!!
I have 3 little ones here today, and unfortunatly the weather outside is horrible, so will have to think of something interesting for them to do indoors today!!!
Not speaking to DS at the moment, all year we have been having problems with him not eating his lunch at school, and resently ive thought he has been at least eating his sandwiches, but last night when i was tidying his room, i found weekls of sandwiches hidden in all sorts of places!!!! Not a happy bunny here, he went to bed and wasnt allowed to watch the world cup, i was so mad, and im also angry with the school, as ive been in enough to complain about them not encouraging or noticing about him eating. They also have been saying he gets silly and talks to much, but then, when hes not eating im not surprised he cant consentrate!!!!!
Ok, rant over, the next one will be at school this morning!!!!
Kyle - loved the wedding photos last night, your boyus look lovely as well, you mustve had a lovely day!!!!
Hope everyone is ok, and has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thought i would have a go at moving my earlier post over, hope its worked!!!!! If it has, will move Kazs as well!!!!0 -

We went to a little village called Kalo Chorio, not far from Agios Nikolaos - it was lovely, quite unspoilt. A bit of a walk to the beach, but though olive groves etc so quite nice. The bus service on Crete was brilliant - DS was impressed because on the bus back from Ag Nik, they were showing Spiderman 2 on the overhead TVs! A bit different from buses here!!!:D0
