Morning all :j :j :j
Predictably, I was awake at 6am this morning  so I've just had a good read of my library book! I need to read more and I can't wait for the summer hols when I won't feel guilty about reading a book because I won't have to prepare a lesson urgently for the following day. That said, I'm trying to get my classroom sorted out so that come September, I won't have to madly panic putting backing paper up etc.
I'm looking forward to putting on my wedding dress again today. :j :j It's my last fitting, but the last time I put it on was in October when I chose it..... My mum is coming to the shop too as she's the one with the credit card, bless her. The other day she said "we won't be giving you a wedding present, I'm afraid". I pointed out that we definitely weren't expecting one as they're paying for the wedding!!! What does she think I am?
OH has instructions to go to the Farmers' Market. Whether he gets out of bed before midday though is a problem  The pile of ironing doesn't seem to be going down quickly, so maybe the ironing fairy will do some of that whilst I'm out?
See you all later.

Hiya :hello:
Went to bed eary (ish) last night as was so tired but was woken by DS2 at 2am to his dulcet tones shouting "mummy, I wet my bed". Trouble was, I have a huge pile of laundry which is sorted, but not put away, in my room. Which is where his clean sheets were soi gave up on remaking the bed and he came in with me. Slept till 8am(Unlike me who was awoken again at 6.30 by DS1)
Anyway, have just picked up a mystery shopping job in town this afternoon, which is great as that's petrol and parking paid for :j Mr TM is taking the boys to some sort of Roman weekend thingy in Ribchester today - lots of Roman soldiers etc. It's a bright but not overly hot day so they should have a good time.
I'm waiting for a lady to come and pick up my travel system this morning. It took Mr TM an hour to actually ask WHY we had the pram sitting in the middle fo the hall :rotfl: Maybe he was worried I'd be telling him something
Ok, other plans for today - WM on, BM on, DW on and vac needs running round downstairs. May even mop the kitchen floor .... but it's one of my most hated jobs, so we'll seeI want to find a charity shop I can drive up to and deliver cos I have loads of stuff for them, but most seem to be in the middle of town, in the pedestrian area? Will ring and see, then that will be another huge space in my attic space
Ok, best get on. Have a great day one and all.

Good morning one and all!
I had a great shopping day yesterday. The vouchers I found in the back of my knicker drawer came in very handy. Got myself all new underwear, (and himself some too except he now tells me they're too big!) half price with vouchers and treated us both to a CD (Half price plus a voucher) in WH Smith. Too tired to rummage charity shops but might do a bit of that today.
shez catowen and Pen-Pen have a great day doing 'you-stuff' let me know what you thought of POTC Pen I might go and see it when I'm in London week after next.
Penny-Pincher sorry you had a bad night, hope DD and OH enjoy their day out on Monday.
((Hugs)) to Snowy Owl sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. Upset tummies are horrible but hope you get better v soon.
Today it's housework, gardening and charity shops (maybe). OH's brother and his kids are coming to stay on Monday so flat needs a good blitz. Never know, might actually get OH to do some too!!!!

Hello everybody,
It's pretty cold here tonight. Just finished our tea and will do the dishes after this. DH will hit the sack early as he didn't get home until 8.30am and then he only slept till 11am so he's pretty tired. I've been doing bits and bobs around the place. Off to Mass in the morning (havent been for yonks). The roof will probably cave in
& then to the markets & then we are going for lunch at the club near by.
This is the next island close by. I've only been there once before when it was DH's birthday in April. Went for a pub lunch & that day the cook called in sick so no lunch. Hopefully there will be some good fruit & veg there. My Moggins folder is coming along fine. It's taking forever but once it's set up it's going to be good. I've been doing a bit each day while DH been asleep as it's a quiet job. That and surfing the net.
Snowy Way tooooooooooo much information there. You probably caught it off PP.
PenPen Breakfast in bed. You are spoilt. Enjoy it.
VickyA What sort of style dress did you choose? I've still got mine. I try it on every anniversary and do a sashay down the hall. I tease DD that I expect her to wear it.Fraid it's not fancy enough. Little bit tight now. My back has got bigger.
But I can still zip it up. Just.
TM Are you going to use your attic for something after you've cleaned it out or was it just one of those overdue jobs.
Well off to do the dishes. I made Chickpea Patties that someone posted here. Quite nice. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all!
Going to be brave today and face my clubcard vouchers. I know that probably seems a strange thing to say, but while I was really bad my paperwork used to just pile up. I'm only just starting to get organised - and I know when I look in the section that I have filed them (without looking at them) there are going to be quite a few out of date
But NO MORE!:D Thanks to Moggins pointing out all the different things she'd done with hers I checked out the website and at last there are a lot of things I can do with them a bit closer to home. I know I should have at least spent them in tesco, but I wanted to get the 4x value from them and kept meaning to 'get around to it'. Anyway, now I have you guys to remind me to keep up with these things - just reading your posts helps!:T
As for the rest of the day - not too sure.
It's lovely and cool here so I might do a mass of cooking just in case the heat hits again next week. I found a couple of easy recipies in the index thread that I'm going to try. Shame is, when you look via the index thread there doens't seem to be a button to thank those who suggested the recipie allways - anyone know a quick way 'round that?
I'll probably put my sprouted beans in the fridge (if they don't get eaten first) and start a new batch as there are leaves shooting from them now - so I assume it's time to eat?
Sorry, post is rather long again - boy can I waffle.

Morning all
PP Try and have a rest today, you won't do yourself any favours by overdoing it!
Penpen Have a nice child free weekend. I can't remember what one of those is like.
Cat I do envy you the mystery shopping trips, I did register with a company but there is never anything going in my area
Vicky I'll bet you look beautiful in that dress? Good luck for your big day
TM that Roman thing sounds great, would your DH take me too
Snowy I hope you feel better soon, if you've got the lurgy that is going around then it only lasts 48 hours.
Poppy enjoy the charity shops
I feel loads better about things today, I caught something on Dr Phil that really struck a chord, it was that in any conflict someone had to be the hero. So for the past two days I have tried to meet DH in the middle, all evening meals have been served in the dining room and to be honest I have quite enjoyed it and I went so far as to tell DH so. I'm hoping that he doesn't see this as me caving in but an attempt to meet him half way, that if I can give a little so could he. We shall have to see.
Nothing much planned for today, DH did 4 loads of washing yesterday, my DD1 came round last night and stayed for 2 hours which was nice and then my Mum and eldest sister and my nephew dropped in unexpectedly too. The house was sheer chaos for an hour and it was lovely.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Kaz if you have any Tesco vouchers that have expired, it may be worth phoning Tesco to see if the points can be credited back to your account? It's worth a try and you could fib a little and tell them you mislaid them for a while?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Good Morning All
Just a quick post has have loads today (just for a change eh!) dw emptied & kitchen wiped down, 1 load out of the wm and another to go straight in, have had a quick tidy up and finished putting all the ironing away. Just about to hoover, landing stairs and kitchen as everywhere else is ok. Then must rush into another village to pick up a helium balloon for dd's bday.
Then at 11.430 four of dd's friends are coming round and we are taking then into nearest big town (about 30 mins away) for a chinese buffet lunch and then next door to see Pirates. So no cooking for me again today yah!!!
Hope you all have a great day - am jealous PenPen, dont think Ive ever had a whole weekend with no children - enjoy.
(((Hugs))) to all those feeling under the weather - get well soon0 -
Thanks Moggins - I think I might try that. Feeling a little icky at the thought. Just been brave and done the 'sorting' bit - a few months ago I'd gone through the big piles of paperwork I had in baskets and 'thrown' things into the relevant files. I have £19 of out of date CC vouchers, and I missed a chance to have an extra 1000 cc vouchers on a £50 online shop
But, on the plus side I have £36 of cc vouchers to use :j :j :j - should keep the boys amused during the hols! now I just need to read up on how to convert these vouchers. I swear I'll never ever let them run out again!
