Afternoon everyone
The atmosphere is still pretty frosty here. I've been out with my parents all morning so that was a nice break, I'm just trying to ride the waves and not make any hasty decisions.
Thank for for all the pms. I've been rather taken aback by how kind you've all been and unable to make any sensible replies yet but thank you so much anyway.
He goes back to work in 10 days - just trying to hold out that long.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

DS has come home from school reportless again. Does anyone know when we parents of children in Y6 get their SATs results? We were originally told last Friday, then today;is's driving us all mad. DS wants to know how he did.

I've been baby cuddling. My mate at work brought her little girl (2months) in for a visit, and she was absolutely delightful. I found it really strange as i can't imagine me at that stage.
We also found out that DH's cousin's wife has just had a little boy, 5Ib10oz. So give them a week or so to get settled and then we'll be popping to see them.
I had a really enjoyable day. I tried bollywood style dancing with my form group, and it was so energetic that i am really shattered now. We also tried Zimbabwean dancing, and i had to sit that one out. The baby enjoyed the drum beating too much for me to jump about as well without needing the loo.
For those of you into the exercise DVDs, wasn't there a bollywood one? I think it probably burns off loads of calories.
i want to try and rest this weekend as i think it might be a bit of a hard slog for the next couple of weeks with the kids after a tough year. Although i might try a shopping trip to start looking at furniture for the living room so it might motivate us to decorate.
Hope the weather stays cooler so i can relax.

:hello: Evening everyone :hello:
I've also received that Lakeland voucher :j :j However, I've actually received two   as they've got my name in two different forms.... Goodness knows how
I'm going up to York next weekend :j :j It's my friend's hen party there - she was at York Uni too Rzl! She can't be too far in age from you. Anyway, I'm going there for a little bit of champagne and a damn good night out! Whether I'll be awake for it, I don't know.
OH is fast asleep on the sofa  Looks like I'll have to cook supper AGAIN! Ostrich burgers with salad. Nice and easy. I've been to Tesco, so we're stocked up for the week..... keeping to our budget quite well. However, I'm sending OH to the Farmers' Market tomorrow whilst I go and have my final fitting for my wedding dress. Not so OS, but my mum and dad are paying for the dress. Does that count?
OH still isn't stirring, so I'd better go and let cooking smells waft towards his nose. Then again, if I cook then I don't do the washing up..... best get going :rotfl:

Morning, all! :T
Can't quite believe this, I'm child free for the weekend, and therefore should be having a lie-in (no swim club run). But here I am, setting up the thread!
Can't sleep at the moment, lots to do, and really loving it. :j
Great evening, with DH. Did some Freecycling. Got rid of several items, and collected poster and some clothes for DD, and a waste bin, for FLC. Went out for supper (Rzl, food was lovely, especially pudding), than walked along the river in York. Not something I've ever done before at that time of day, so sampled the sights (and smells) af York at night. BTW Rzl, alked past the Judges Lodgings, and it was heaving, as it was such a lovely evening.
We're cracking on with the garden project today. We have a pile of timber out back, and will be reshaping the lawn and using it as edging. Weaher a bit cooler, now. Bonfire of all our prunings later, with bottle of beer.
May cycle out to a pub this evening for a pint and bar meal.
Has anyone seen Pirates of Caribbean? What's it like.
DH has brought breakfast in bed :A
Speak soon!

Morning PP and all to follow
Not a good night here, but think I overdid it last night:rolleyes:
Pirates of the carribean-Wont spoil the story but I found it wasnt as good as the first and lacked something. Johnny Depp was good but hardly any humour compared to the first one. Overall.....abit gutted really.
Went to Lakeland and had to buy something to receive the free pick a bags. Bought a card making kit for DD & I to do through the holidays together and was reduced half price to £3. Went to Boots as I had a double point voucher and bought 6 shampoos/conditioners-69p each and on BOGOF:D super strength deodrant for OH, razors and some soap for £5.55;)
Before going back to the car, we went and got a KFC in the food court. Just finishing and we bumped into our nephew who we havent seen in a few weeks and ended up chatting to him for about an hour and half-didnt leave Bluewater till nearly 10pm. OH popped into large Sainsburys for items we need over the weekend and some of their offers. Bacon, Sausages, Strawberries, cream, cream freche and some other stuff are all on BOGOF. He spent £25 but seem to have alot for that!
Anyway, WM is on and will be hung outside. DW is not even half full and the toilet has been cleaned. OH is cleaning all wooden floors today, blinds and a quick sweep of the back garden.
We have friends coming over later and they are going to DD's school fete and the mum is staying here with me as shes been overdoing it and needs a rest and we have several bottles of good wine/champers here to help her chill out! Dont know what we're going to have to eat but if all fails...go half on a take away:eek:
OH & DD have been invited to a day to Margate on Monday. Dont know if anyne remembers last years oneIts run through a local charity for disabled kids and a carer. Taken by black cab to Margate, stoping at service station and being provided with pocket money and lunch and drink/snack at service station. Then police escort to Margate to meet the Town Mayor and batton twirlers with ribbons etc...you get the picture. Then dropped outside the amusement park(bembon brothers??) with a free wristband for both of them to the park (DD & OH love the big rides!). Then have to meet up at 3pm, then taken by cab to a local restaurant where there is dinner and a disco provided. What a fab day for them! DD really enjoyed it last year but had to take her grandad as I was in hospital so at least this time her dad can go with her.
Breakie: Bacon & Mushroom Baguette
Lunch: Baked spud, ham, coleslaw and salad
Dinner: Spag/Bol or take away with friends
Anyway, Id best go but will catch up later. Have a great day everyone.

Hi there folks
PP- Sorry to hear that you overdid it.
Penelope - Have a great child free weekend.
Had a decent sleep last night has finally cooled down, although DS1 decided to be up at 5.30 this morning. Does he not realise we are on holiday for a week.:p . The DS2 decided it was playtime(he is only 4 months).
Nothing much planned for today, will see the inlaws as between holidays and stuff we wont see each other for about a month.
Did some baking yesterday. Flapjacks and little sponge cakes, I was bored. Breakfast today will be the normal Teacakes and coffee, Luch will probably be a sarnie and dinner I think will be pork and stuffing with salad. Trying to use the contents of the fridge before we go away for the week.
Anyway off for now for a shower and then get started on straightening up the house.
Have a nice weekend
TAlthough I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:

Not a brilliant weekend for me in store unfortunately. Had a bad dose of the runs last night, and tum is still gurgling away. You don't want to know about the horrible eggy burps. Yeuk!!! I guess this will explain my malaise during the week, just hope it goes away v.v.soon.
Ya know what, I am not in the mood to be writing this, so I'm orf!
See you all later.

Good morning to the two Pennys!!!! and all who follow!!!
Just a quick one this morning from me, DS and DD go to a church youth club each friday, and they have arranged a fun day down in Truro for all the children, so they are off there today, have to be out the door by 8 (on a weekend as well!!!! ). Have already made their packed lunches, just need to get them moving now.
Seeing i have a day to myself, im going shopping!!!!:T well, not as exciting as it sounds, will be food shopping (well, might just have a look in the clothes section!!) and ive managed to arrange 3 mystery shops for this morning, so can do those in peace. Then this afternoon, before picking up the children, im going around to see my friend for a coffee and a chat, so hoping for a nice day today!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
